That's pretty typical for these scummy dealers nowadays, they "run a business" after all :cautious:.

Just imagine if someone came into this forum and offered a Mav at those ridiculous prices :ROFLMAO:

On his livestream last night, Tim mentioned they will add a mark-up to retail Maverick walkaways and the hybrid models will still only last a few minutes. However, the EB models linger. He mentioned having a fully kitted First Edition still on the lot after a couple weeks now. EB models may be easier to find without markup.

A recent survey said that the average American consumer was WILLING to pay a 37% markup over MSRP to get the vehicle they want in this market. Let that sink in. Blame the consumers, you can't really blame the dealer if some bozo is willing to pay over MSRP for this vehicle. I don't blame the dealer. If I had to sell mine right now I know I could make a few bucks on it. What am I supposed to do? Sell it for less out of the goodwill of my heart? No thank you.

One dealer in PA just gave me a quote with a $10000 markup for a $24455 2023 Hybrid XLT.

It's pretty crazy...

$10K ADM (or even more) for an "in stock" hybrid is par for the course around here - even ones that are used with up to 15K miles on them!

For Ecoboost models, it's a bit less. Was averaging around $7,500, but now seems to be down to $3,500-$5,000. But they're asking that for used ones, too!
