Hybrid to get the better gas mileage and I don't tow anything.

360 to get the blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic monitoring because it is the 21st century. Once you have had a car with those it feels odd to drive a car without them.

A non-boring color.

Plus 1,000 on that. You start to expect that warning and if you're in a car without it you have to really watch yourself. Can't tell you how many times the alarm went off for somebody walking behind the car that wasn't visible in the mirror.

Now why people think it's OK to walk behind a car with its back up lights on is another question.

Must haves are 360 and regular cruise control, which means XLT. I’ll want a bed liner of some sort, but that can be after I get it. I’ll probably add in the tow hitch and outlet, but I’m hoping the XLT package is split so the options are more specific.

Ordered an XLT Hybrid, will add after getting it, heated seats and spray-in bedliner.

(1) AWD for two reasons. First I have to climb my 175 vertical ascent driveway daily, and second because it brings independent rear suspension for superior handling.
(2) CP360 because we have similar features in our Volvo (much better in the Volvo) and the safety increase is amazing.
(3) LUX because once you've had power seats, heated seats, etc - you never want to go without again.

Lots of great options you are all posting.

As far as adaptive cruise control, we have that in our Highlander. IMO, it has its pros and cons. Pros are obviously slowing down behind someone, but the big con is it slowing down too quickly due to various reasons.
True its not perfect. But you can choose to not use it if the conditions aren't right and you have it. Can't use it if you wish you had it and didn't get it.

Frustrating it is buried in the top tier of options. It's at $750 add any trim on a Nissan Frontier.

That's because while other brands are treating certain things as basic standard items, Ford charges you like they are luxury items.

Considering how much it costs the consumer to add cruise control to the XL, it probably would cost Ford pennies, if not less, to make it a standard XL feature. Instead it's thousands more to get it factory.

only needed XLT Hybrid features (cruise and power mirrors mostly) and my only option was 100 dollar hitch (best bargain ever). Maybe keeping it simple was why I got it in 97 days. I didn't feel like making an inexpensive truck an expensive truck.

Mine is adaptive cruise. Unfortunately you need lariat lux for this. Maybe it will be changed for 23. Also need to be able to tow my boat so 4k also which needs awd ecoboost. I only have to tow it twice a year to the launch ramp a quater mile away. So maybe I could dump the 4k but does limit me if I decide to take it somewhere else. Or beg someone else to launch the boat.
Hummmmm Hummmmm twice a year??? Sell boat rent one!

AWD for snow and minor off-roading.

4K Tow package for sure. It’s a truck, so I assume you would want the hitch.

FX4 -sounded Like a good deal for $800...all-terrain tires, skid plates, front tow hooks

Mine were Hybrid and ACC which pushed me to the Lariat. SUPER happy with it but turns out I rarely use the ACC since I can regulate the gas peddle a lot more efficiently than the cruise control can. It is nice on long trips though, but I don't turn it on during my daily commute.

My Mav would be too basic without the moonroof.
