Using the built in dash info, after 32000 miles my average mpg is 40.
I estimate my driving is a 50/50 mix town to highway. I have driven in the Colorado mountains, in the Ozarks around Branson, the plains of Oklahoma and Texas. City driving in small towns and large cities. Overall average over 2 years is 40 mpg. I tried Eco on highway 1 time. I still drive in Openroad always.
Keep in mind the in dash computer holds 5000 miles of fuel economy. If not manually reset, it shows you most recent 5000 miles MPG. Your trip home from the dealer was written over long ago.

I'm getting 33 average mpg after almost 3k miles. 60/40 highway/city. I understand highway is going to be worse. But I do far amount of city driving too. I use Eco mode EVERY TIME and try to keep it in electric/charging using the coach as much as possible.

So what's going on? Are you guys being serious with the MPGs you're reporting??? BE HONEST

One of the big selling points was mpg and I have 20 year old truck that I can get 25mpg in with complete disregard for driving style
I've had my 2023 Hybrid for about 10 months and have about 7,500 miles on it. I am constantly getting 43-45 MPG in the city and 34-38 MPG on the road, all in the ECO mode. And that is not using the screen MPG info, that is doing actual calculations at the pump by dividing my mileage driven since the last trip and dividing it by the actual gallons registered at the pump. Love my Maverick!!

I’ve always told the truth. You need to stay off the gas and don’t go over 65mph.

I babied my Mav in the beginning to see how high I could get it. Was like 43 mph. Well gas is cheap and I barely drive so I no longer baby. Im the first off the line at lights and speed on the freeway but then I also have plenty of 2-4 mile short trips with a 45mph speed limit where I drive softer and get 40 to 50+ mpg without even trying.

PS. It absolutely hates 90 mph. Just look at my Lowest dip.

I think a fairly obvious thing that needs to be considered (my apologies if this was brought up already in prior comments) is the context everybody reports their MPGs in, and that anything over 32 is really good for any pickup purely based on the aerodynamics alone.

For an example of context--when some people say "I got X MPG on the freeway", they can mean "I went from my neighborhood, took a long trip on the freeway, and then got off into a little city driving on the other end and measured it at the pump"; OR, they can mean they did the same thing described above, but then used the computer measurements; OR they mean that they got onto the freeway, cleared their trip computer, traveled for a stretch, and then used the computer reading for a literally pure highway MPG. All of those readings will produce different results and mean slightly different things, and when we are splitting hairs like this (and the hybrid is arguably more variable based on driving style and conditions) the context is important to consider.

33 for any pickup truck that isn't totally gutless is great. Anything beyond that is absolutely stellar. This is also beyond the typical optimal conditions maximum for the ecoboost engine. The Hybrid is also known to get less MPG on high speed freeway trips, towing, or extensive uphill driving--particularly in the cold for any of those. 32-36 MPG seems to be completely normal for a drive that is overwhelmingly composed of such conditions. And that is still at or beyond the maximum potential of the ecoboost. The real gains for the hybrid are when you do long-term combined driving, moderate to heavy city/stop-and-go driving, and when you consciously drive for mileage just a bit. Under those conditions you're likely going to get much better results than you can out of the ecoboost or any other comparable truck (and most non-hybrid cars or SUVs/CUVs for that matter)

I'm at 45.3 cumulatively over 3,500 miles and about 41 IRL. Not as good as I got on my C-Max, but respectable. I also drive in ECO mode and Landing gear in city traffic.

Also, I have my oil changed approx every 5000 miles. At each oil change the readout for that period has been 40 mpg. I am not a believer that electronics is be all and end all but that is what my read out shows.
