Also, I have my oil changed approx every 5000 miles. At each oil change the readout for that period has been 40 mpg. I am not a believer that electronics is be all and end all but that is what my read out shows.

  4. 3rd party Towing Hitch FINALLY - from Draw-Tite

The crash bar on Maverick is 2 x 3. A 2 x 4 RV hitch would not work without modification.

  7. How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

I reserved my XLT in June 2021 after seeing a CNN advertisement. My truck came in January 2022. That was my first sighting, sitting, driving. Love it with 12,500 miles on it.

First 5000 miles, mixed road conditions , 39.8 mpg! Love it!
  9. 3rd party Towing Hitch FINALLY - from Draw-Tite

After mounting a step bumper hitch, I think a receiver tube mounted with a single U bolt would work for a 2000 lb hitch. Safety hooks would need a place to attach to the truck. That should be straight forward.
  10. 3rd party Towing Hitch FINALLY - from Draw-Tite

I did get this mounted. I modified to fit U bolts and opening. To fit opening I cut off side plates flush with the body of the hitch.
  11. 3rd party Towing Hitch FINALLY - from Draw-Tite

It measures out ok. I have not mounted yet. I will pic it when it is installed. u bolts fit perfect on crash bar.
  12. 3rd party Towing Hitch FINALLY - from Draw-Tite

I bought a step bumper hitch and “U” bolts to attach to the crash bar. Cost to date is $50. Lights will be extra at some point. I have a small utility trailer that does not require lights.
