I suspect they chose under-powered processing hardware for the 2022-2024s--this was designed during the exit from COVID and there were still a lot of supply chain disruptions to those kinds of electronics. A lot of manufacturers had to strip out more advanced systems because they couldn't make...
I wasn't a fan before buying it, but it wasn't a deal breaker. After getting the truck It is totally fine, I enjoy it. Much better IMO than the trend towards buttons for the gears in other hybrids and electrics. And lightyears ahead of the old truck shifters on the steering column--I'd take...
I have only received compliments and genuine interest in-person and online. I think some people in-person are just being nice, but I've already had people comment about how much they like the truck in just under a week of owning it. It's been mostly positive. I think a lot of this will depend...
Well, after waiting about 11 months for my order, I finally had enough! I was fortunate enough to find a brand new Maverick in-transit to a dealer that was virtually identical to my original build—so I went for it!!
Couldn’t be more happy with it right now. This is my first brand new vehicle...
This is great to see, thanks for posting.
Most modern engines do around 7k miles or more for oil changes on full synthetic now, with zero problems. It doesn't surprise me that this goes to 10k with no issues, and it's very pleasing to see the evidence to back it.
For a VERY long time...
I'm seeing a lot of conflicting info. Barely anybody seems to be getting scheduled anymore, but there does seem to be scheduling occuring.
My dealership tried to tell me that there has been no Maverick production whatsoever for the past three months due to shortages of rear suspension and...
So it seems to me like they didn't do a "big" scheduling this month? Obviously a few folks got orders, but I'm not seeing the big bulk scheduling like they have been doing.
I'm wondering if supply constraints are causing this. When I spoke to my dealer they showed me that my order got...
So did July scheduling actually occur today as it was supposed to?
Or did the big scheduling not happen yet? Normally there’s a thread with a bunch of people announcing their notifications, but I didn’t see that today.
Not sure if anybody knows anything one way or another, but I thought it...
I think a lot of larger legacy companies (non-tech companies usually) are led by old-school execs that honestly don't have ANY clue about software--how it really works, how you manage it/build it/improve it, how to hire for it, etc etc. I've seen so many organizations basically ignore subject...
Not sure if it's already been said one way or another, but this is very important to remember:
This forum and the posts on it are not an accurate basis upon which to judge the real reliability of the vehicle, BY THEMSELVES. You have to realize that people with issues are SUBSTANTIALLY more...
I’ve heard variations of the same sort of thing. Blends seem to often be pointless because it ends up having most of the same qualities regular oil would have. Synthetic is great because it has such high consistency as a material, and you lose that with the blend.
I mean they literally do contradict each other. On the one hand it’s literally saying that XLTs and Lariats with ecoboost are required for orders. Where I’m from if someone tells you “X” is a requirement that means you have to have it. Yet XLs are partially available.
The only way it’s not...
Seriously though. This is one of the most confusing notices I've seen. In one spot it says "XL availability is 21%". And then the next line it basically says "required orders: Anything but XL". lmao
Wiper blades are pretty much an annual replacement. After two years they're definitely no bueno any more, IMO.
Regardless of how much you use them, the daily exposure to UV light, extreme temperatures, dust and dirt, etc etc etc--all this makes them usually turn ineffective just from time...
There will probably be some--just very very few. When they say "exhausted availability" apparently Ford doesn't actually mean "exhausted", lol. I forget the term, but there's another word they use for when it's actually 100% exhausted.
I’ve been in the same/similar boat—ordered through my dealership the morning pre orders for MY24 opened up in July, picked XLT hybrid lux with no wild/limfac options to try and keep it as fast as possible. Did tons of research and calculated we’d more or less be where we are now in terms of...
This is what I’m thinking. With the numbers remaining in queue and the approximate production capability meeting that number (or exceeding it in some months like January), I struggle to imagine ways in which they don’t clear most of the remaining backlog except the hybrid XLs, some ecoboost XLs...
i have only previously seen it listed as 30k-100k, potentially as a result of misinformation or misprint/mis-typing it seems.
I will retract my previous statement, and i would agree fully any conventional automatic transmission should never go for 150k without a fluid exchange—i cannot fathom...
EDIT: i was incorrect, the standard trans is rated for the same as the eCVT, and some similar eCVTs are only rated for 60k. I would recommend people look into it themselves, there’s a lot of incomplete info out there. I’d definitely think 30k for the standard and 60-100 for the eCVT based on...
