I could not find any information on this subject. I am looking at buying a Aluma MC10 trailer to haul a Harley Roadking on interstate and wondered if anyone had MPG information. My truck is a 2025 XLT Hybrid 2 wheel drive, 17000 miles. Thanks in advance for any information.

That's a pretty specific question and hard to answer.
I think it's amusing that the trailer weighs less than the Road King.

Trailer?

And all my wasted effort trying to figure out how he was going to keep the Harley balanced on two wheels?
🤔

What a strange question. Not about MPG in general but specific to towing a motorbike. Your MPG will tank to 2 MPG. What a joke.

I don't know if this is a serious question or not.
I can't answer - too many variables - too little info.
(Interstate driving + towing = hybrid MPG advantage gone)

What I can offer is you can test it out yourself.

Go rent a Uhaul 5x9 Utility trailer with ramp.
Advertised weight is ~1300lbs.

Come back and let us know your numbers.

...and....welcome to MTC.

ps...pics of the Mav + trailer + bike would be nice

So no one has towed a motorcycle on an open trailer at around 1100 lbs and can say it affected their mileage by a general amount? It is a serious question and I did give specific info, I was looking for assistance not attitude!

Your towing rig will not have great wind resistance if it’s NOT an enclosed trailer.
Small open flat 5x10 and the bike, Mpg’s should drop 25-30 %
5x10 enclosed, bike inside, 50% drop.

Used to tow my Ultra-Classic behind our Tundra and saw little change in mileage, I suspect because there is little frontage area to block wind.
Towing my 16' enclosed trailer and my highway mileage would go from 17 to 7. Frontal area makes a big difference in how hard to truck has to pull on the highway.

Can't answer with specific data but my EB with a BMW R1200 GS and a 5x10 steel landscape trailer is 21-22 MPG and doesn't change much with empty trailer. I get 31-32 MPG no trailer. I drive in regular mode with this set up and only use trailer towing when pulling my enclosed. I suspect you may be around the same percentage of 33% but the instant torque of electric motor may help a good deal from stop.

I just towed my ‘01 Triumph ST on my flatbed trailer for 550 miles w my Eco. Both trailer and bike weigh less than your setup. I lost about 5 mpg from normal. Maybe that helps you a bit. But, definitely not the same setup that you will have.

I store my Street Glide in a heated garage in Vermont each winter. I've towed 200 miles with the U-Haul 4x9 motorcycle hauler and got 23mpg in my 23 hybrid. That trailer is unnecessarily heavy but safe. This year, I bought some ramps, fitted a sheet of 3/4-inch plywood, tailgate supports, and loaded it in the back, and got 32 mpg over 200 miles. I would expect the Aluma trailer to get 25-26mpg or so based on the wind and rolling resistance.

I don't have an Aluma MC10 trailer, but the below link explains my experience on a short 57-mile trip towing my Triumph 1200 up and over Afton Mt in VA. in tow mode. Hope this helps give you an idea on what you could expect.
