Man I wish I had a Maverick when I lived on Maui. It would seriously be the perfect vehicle over there. I had a Suzuki Grand Vitara when I lived there which was a great Maui cruiser but the Maverick would be the best.
So far it has been exactly everything we have needed. Hell the other day we decided to pick up some more solar batteries. So we tossed a dozen golf cart batteries in the bed. Hauled lumber in the bed and on the topper when we had the dogs. Got a fridge running in the bed, room for the dogs. And we have sooo much gear under the backseat it's insane. It's probably hauled 10 tons of cargo in it or behind it since the first week of August. Zero issues aside from 1 radio freeze up and a main display glitch while offroading through alternating mogul type ruts at 6000ft at Polipoli. It flashed a couple warnings immediately went away and then a wrench that went away after I restarted it once. Never saw it again. Must have been a sensor glitch from running at too many angles lol.

It's all relative my dude. That s-10 is massive compared to mini trucks from the 70s and 80s. You have to compare modern vehicles, to modern vehicles, so with that in mind, the maverick is very much a small, compact truck when compared to other modern trucks. My freaking roof is hood height on a full size truck, that shows how small the maverick is.

My Maverick is the same length as my extended cab 05 Ranger. Mirrors are about the same width going into the garage, yet the interior is light years more roomy.

Anyone who bitches the Maverick is too big, should just go buy a Smart Car, except that name is an oxymoron. . :ROFLMAO:

I like being able to wash the roof of the maverick without using a 6 ft ladder . fits in my garage perfectly . love the gas mileage compared to other p-ups . perfect height for me to enter/exit vehicle . height of bed is great for loading/unloading material . It works for me .

My 2003 S-10 may have been similar in size...but my front passenger actually has a lot mre legroom in my 2023 Maverick. But I was sold at 13 mpg vs 42 mpg.

I'm sure I'll be able to handle the turning radius. Compared to my 2004 7800lb 4x4 PSD Excursion that requires a football field to make a U turn. ....:)

You are comparing a regular cab pickup to a crew cab pickup. Now do the crew cab S-10 compared to the Maverick.

One holds 2 people, is there a 3rd seatbelt? The other holds 4 and a 5th if you are friendly with each other.

I am not seeing the comparison here....

These days discussions are either arguments or lectures.

Well, they ("big truckers") can have their 16" wide arm rest, but can we get a longer one like the Escapes have instead of that cubby hole in front lol

And lets take a chill pill accusing people of being negative. It's really not that serious. We all like the Maverick for what it is and opinions may vary. If you think there is negativity on this thread you are in for a wild ride here. Not that I disagree with you, because I do agree... people need to chill and sometimes it goes both ways. But some users have a bad habit of being negative with their opinions and it's best to just hit that ignore button. I will tell you the one OP is referring to was one of the first I ignored here. Food for thought... Ignore them and move on. They don't know how to be adults and arguing with them at their level isn't going to change it. That said, some users seriously deserve to be put in their place but it won't happen here and if you think this is bad, never and I mean never visit reddit or any Tacoma based forum

Enjoy your Maverick!

On a side note, I'm actually pissed that small, stylish city cars tend to be so expensive. Smart and mini are prime examples. Mini Coopers are charismatic, fun to drive city cars that appeal to someone who wants a small car that's actually special. But they're like 40 fucking grand, for a little hatchback, it's insane.

Hell, even a Prius gets up to $40k now days! It is definitely insane. They don't have to be so expensive though but if you want the creature features (and sadly even the safety features) then the price sky rockets.
