I have just got back in the house after, swapping out a set of Steelies with 8000 mile tires for the winter. With my original set with 5700 miles.
The Compact floor jack I was using is TOO SHORT..
My MAV is a Stock XL Eco. I needed 15" of height to remove the Front Tires and 14" of height for the Rear Tires.
The jack only reaches 14 inches...
This is the first time, I have had to "Raise" the truck.
I ended up using Factory "Sissor" jack, which is beefer then I had assumed.

I also, "speeded-up" the process by using 13/16" (3/8"-drive) socket and 3/8"-drive wrench.
Any floor jack has to have a reach of 15+ inches.
I also, tried some lumber under the compact jack and that didn't help much either.

Just wanted to get this out there. Won't want someone stranded.

I discovered the same issue last month when trying to use my old compact floor jack. It only reached 14 inch height. I bought a 3-ton floorjack from Walmart for $79 and added a rubber adapter from Amazon to deal with the pinch welds. Here is the jack I purchased:

The Mavericks' unibody is about the same as the body on my Rangers. But, as I was doing the jacking. I realized that I had been jacking off the Ranger's frame. Which was two and a half (2 1/2") inches lower.
Today, I kept cranking and the body rose, but NOT the wheel. At least not enough to remove the tire.. :( (n)

The Idea about using the "Compact" design was to be able to stow it along..
Will have to start looking for one with the same 'Footprint" but, a few more inches in productive height..

Cut yourself a couple of 4 by 4 posts on an angle on one end. Put a short strap or rope on the other. When you need to elevate the truck use one for a chock block and the other as a spacer between the Jack and the frame.

Take a piece of 2x4 (or something solid) and place it between the jack and the lift point on the chassis.

I've had one of these for years - it is awesome to quickly lift via pinch weld AND place a stand.
Time saver and no question of where do I place the stand if I'm lifting from the pinch weld?

If anyone does a decent amount of tire swapping / rotating at home, buy one of these!
Said it in another post, I was a tech for 1/2 my life, got a box full of Snap-On, Mac and Matco tools- for home work that jack was the best $200 I've ever spent. I wish it was out 20 years ago.

Jack under the suspension, or use a 4x4 block of wood on the saddle to increase your lift.

Use some 2x6 wood blocks or larger under the jack. Two if necessary. I bought a electric 12 volt jack and impact driver to use in changing wheels. Works well.

My 2023 XLT hybrid has just over 10" below the pinch weld in the front, with perhaps 11" in the unloaded rear. I'm considering the PowerBilt #620470 2-ton bottle/jackstand since it goes down to 9". The 3-ton version only goes down to 11" in height. If I modify the lifting surface by adding a slotted pad to properly accommodate the pinch weld lift point, this may end up being perfect.
