Ah yes, we love a dealer that breaks federal advertising regulations. That's actually a fantastic situation to be in, because then you can strong arm them into actually giving you the price in exchange for not going straight to the FTC and them getting a hell of a lot more in fines.
Oh soooo wrong. I have seen this done dozens of times. Watch Caredge on youtuybe Zack and Ray. they go to dealer see price on window then pull up web ad. 10 K more when at dealer. They ask whats up./ Dealer just claims typo. Its in all ads online in small print. If mistake in ad happens we are not responsible for mistake Happens constantly.

NOW with that said hey maybe its real. Until you go there its NOT. I have been flat out lied to on the phone. oh yes the price is this. get there its 5k more. Happened to me in 2020 when buying previous car. Then they told me to get the F out of their dealer. YES really.

Just called Envision West Covina who is linked in the article. All those prices don’t include mandatory $7000 in dealer add-ons. Yikes! It was ceramic coating, and then some key and interior damage insurance
Yep classic. Take 10 K off ad 7 K back. At least they told you on the phone I have been flat out lied to on the phone.

I did a search in Autotrader and CarGurus, now they do have some good discounts and rebates but nothing near $20k. $7k to $10k maybe.

My wife's Cherokee has been a great car for us, trouble free, fantastic in the snow but I would personally stay away from a Gladiator. It's trying to fill a niche in the market I am not a part of.

I be happy in my +30MPG EgoBoost, thank you very much. Time to go for a spin now. (y)

Yeah seems like most places near me just have the standard 10-15% off msrp that jeep is running nationwide. Good discount but not enough to bring into budget

If I could actually get a $52k Gladiator for $32k I'd consider it but really the Maverick and Gladiator are like apples and oranges. You are getting a pretty well equipped Maverick for $32k even with price increases and if you could find a Gladiator for $32k you are getting roll up windows, manual transmission (which some people might like) and tires and wheels that look like they came off the XL. Sure it's more capable off road but I doubt many people here are buy Mavericks to go off-roading. The Maverick is a inexpensive decent hauler with good gas mileage.

If you're going to offroad the truck, the Gladiator is great. But if you're only going to drive on paved roads... the Maverick will be so much more comfortable and better to drive day to day

I think it’s more like comparing apples to orangutans. Further apart than oranges are to apples.

I'd enjoy a gladiator for a weekend, but it's not the truck I'd want to marry.

No comparison. You already answered yourself on the gas cost front, and Jeeps continue to be at or near the bottom in terms of reliability. Stay away from anything that has a Jeep logo on it.
Fiat didn't help things. I had three of those when I was a youngster. I didn't mind always working on stuff then. They were and are unreliable. And, the problems were always weird.
