I might have missed it but I'm assuming this $2,995 price tag doesn't include the cost of the required AWD system? So really it's a $5,654 package?

Correct dont forget to add XLT and 2.0 to that if you are thinking like that. Over a base base botom dollar Mav it is a $10k package. But its a deal for 60hp, 4wd, beefier diff, lift, big tires, appearance, and tech packages. Pimp my rides could barely upgrade the radio for that price.

No, because anyone considering this package was already likely getting AT LEAST AWD and likely the FX4 package.

I mean, it's hard to make the argument there were a lot of front-wheel drive folks clamboring for a Tremor package. My current order is for an AWD with FX4 and 4K Tow. I think those two packages combined are about $1,700. So, in my mind, the difference between that and the Tremor is about $1,200, not $5,000+.

"I bought a Maverick Tremor."

If you just hear someone say it and don't see it written out, it sounds like they just bought a new weed whacker.

Again, unrealistic to compare to a base XL hyrbid. A base XL hybrid can't even get AWD, never mind FX4 or 4K Tow. So, it's not an apples to apples comparison.

I know, I just wanted to make sure the Tremor price didn't include the AWD. It's no different than looking at Fx4 for $800 PLUS AWD cost.

No I agree completely with you, I just wanted to verify it didn't include AWD with that price.

No hybrid AWD this year? Boooo ford booo
There probably won't be AWD for the hybrid next year, but the existence of the EB only Tremor package doesn't automatically mean there won't be.

I dig it. Would absolutely love for those smoked head and taillights to become the standard across the entire maverick lineup. Such a small and easy to implement change that makes a big difference. Would be a good way to at least partially please maverick order holders who've had to wait such a long time. Like a, here, for all this nonsense you've had to deal with, we'll improve the looks of the maverick free if charge kind of deal.

I wonder if the improved front fascia is something that could be added on any Maverick - including 2022 models. Is it as simple as a more trimmed up piece of plastic, or do they move components under the hood to accommodate.

So the Badlands BS has a 3.81 axle ratio, same as the 4K package that we lose. So that means as @kingranchero said it is all down to the cooling and Fords stringent, not gonna mess up my truck ratings till its all dialed in, specs policy.

I did some looking on a towing website. It looks like for a few hundred dollars and what should come on the Tremor since it builds on the FX4 as it says, we should be able to equip a Tremor to meet the 4k standards. The only difference will be that it wont be tested and tortured by Ford with the 1" lift and spring package. I am aware that the shocks are firmer than FX4, the springs I dont know about, but I would suspect that adding individually plumbed air bags to the rear would compensate and sag that may occur.

If anyone has any thoughts, do tell. And yes I know the man wont like us skirting DOT regulations.

Edit: also one thing not mentioned is if this tremor will have manual mode and paddle shifters like the BS badlands. You can pit the BS in Manaul mode and keep it in first gear and that's pretty useful for downhills. I didn't see any mention of it in the release.
Great point....IMO, that's the biggest miss on the current Mav (2.0 EB/8AT) is the lack of manual gear control. Would be an even bigger whiff if it's not included with the Tremor pkg.

Come on Ford, it's a button & some software for God sakes. ANY kind of a work truck/off road truck needs manual gear control.

I think it's pretty clear in the pictures there won't be paddle shifters.
