Not trying to make those who are having problems, I just want to report a positive.

It has been LOUSY in NE Iowa the last few days. The Mav has not been out of the garage for two weeks. Been taking the RAV, since it's already outside. Today I blew snow and shoveled for the third time in four days. It is according to the Weather Chanel ONE DEGREE outside. After the snow was cleared, I decide to try the car and truck. Both have been plugged into Battery Tender Jr's all the time. Of course, The Toyota started. Never a doubt.
In the garage, I pushed the brake and hit the start button. Maverick started instantly. I figured the ICE would start up right away and it did. I let both run until they showed some heat on the dash gauges.
My 2023 Lariat Lux Hybrid was delivered on July 26. Maybe the bad battery batch was gone by then.
Hope my good luck holds.

You have a “start button?”
Well, I push on the brake and hit the round button on the lower left of the dash that makes the READY light come on in the MID display. Yes, I call that a START button. Also, the STOP button. Push it while the truck is running, and everything shuts down and it shifts into PARK.
What would you call it?

Lariat Lux does not use a key to start. There is no key hole.
There is a key in the FOB, but that's only to unlock the door if the battery is dead and to unlock the tailgate if the battery is dead.

Good to hear. Are you any where near Titonka or Algona in Iowa?

I went pheasant hunting out there twice on a co workers family farm. Loved it, beautiful country and warm welcoming down to earth people.

I'm about 100 east of Algona.
Funny you should mention that town. During WWII, there was a huge German POW camp there. My father-in-law spoke and taught German, so he a job with a seed corn company, that employed the prisoners, as an field overseer and interpreter. We visited the museum there this fall. Took the Maverick, of course.

The FOB key is AKA "The deep sleep hood release access key".

Garage parked, and on a battery tender, of course you won't have problems. ;) Now try that again without the battery tender, and parked outside, I wonder what will happen?

No need to spit in the eye of Fate. I have been on this forum for over a year. I know better. :)

A friend and I stayed in Clayton IA overnight while on a motorcycle trip to see the Anamosa IA motorcycle museum before it closed for good this fall. It's a beautiful part of the country, along the river with all the bluffs. We ran the river from Hastings MN down on the Wisconsin side then cut across at Prairie du Chien. (y)

Mine sat for about the same and started up BUT I did notice no interior lights at first. So it was low when you get no interior lights. Mine is xlt hybrid. After driving interior lights back on. Plus no ford pass app at first. Mine was outside

I have been to the museum many times. Sad to see that collection split up. I think if you spent a week there, you would have missed something. Who would have believed a diesel military motorcycle?
Yes, beautiful area. Sometime you should check out the area in and around Decorah. Also, Mt Hosmer in Lansing. The ride(s) between Decorah and Lansing might not be the Tail of the Dragon, but they are fun.
