**Update ** we are stuck with it . Dealer won’t budge unless we get lawyers involved. The only good thing is they agreed to pay the payments until the issues have been resolved. We were able to drop the car insurance because we never drove it off the lot . All our warranties start when we pick it up . Doesn’t even have plates on it yet . We did find out they sold 2 more after they sold to us . But now they aren’t allowed to sell anymore till problems resolved.
Definitely not the most ethical dealer around. Making your truck payment until the problem is resolved is something. 🤏

I wouldn't be surprised, if the sales documentation that you signed when you bought the truck, did not contain an arbitration clause.

sorry to hear that, but it sounds like you're making the best of it not paying insurance or the lien.

the new rumor regarding the recall is a fix could be announced this week.

On yesterdays Long Mcaurthor ford video, he said Ford sent out a memo to dealers that a software update for the BCM for a recall for 2022-2024 Mavs will be announced this week

While it didn't specify this recall specifically, I looked on both Ford and NHTSA's site and there doesn't seem to be any other pending recalls that are related to software so my fingers are crossed that it is for this. The big concern is the memo states Body Control Module instead of Audio Control Module, but maybe it is in fact a BCM update, or something got mistyped along the way?

Tim from Long Mcauthor ford just confirmed on a reddit post that it is in fact for the battery issue, and not the camera.

Now, if you could convince the 'My Maverick automatically locks me out crowd.' that they are actually locking themselves out. When they push the manual lock lever while pushing the door open. 🤣
The people “locking themselves out by accident” is actually not true. It is the car. My 24 Mav locks the drivers door (only) if you get out to grab something and leave the key in the ignition. I can reproduce it every time. After all the people saying it was incidental contact with the door lock, decided to grab my iPhone and see if I could verify one way or the other to get some proof. Started the video, at exactly 45 seconds after I get out of the car you can hear the servos in the dash click and the door clicks locked. Only drivers door.

According to my dealer who kept my car for 2 weeks and escalated the issue to factory, Ford HQ techs said it is a software issue. They are aware of the issue and are working on it.
