Just curious. What's the age of the Maverick owners on this site? I'm 61. Any women owners? At our dealership, most Maverick owners are older (50+) and male. I think I've seen only one female Maverick owner at our dealership. I don't think I've seen any who are under 50. The Maverick seems like it would be something that would be popular with young people given it's practicality and entry level price. But the young people I've talked to personally like the way it looks, admit it'll meet their needs, but aren't interested in buying it because they seem to think it's a old man truck .

Almost 66 year old female (widowed) here. I'd always wanted a truck of my own and was tiring of my Equinox. I mentioned it to my son but bemoaned about my chronically painful hip and how getting up into his truck was always hard. He mentioned the Maverick. Always being a Chevy person I had not heard of it. I checked it out at a local dealer (known for its hard sell and questionable financing tactics) and took a test drive. Loved it and started looking at other Colorado dealerships. Found my green FWD hybrid and never looked back. I can get in and out of it easily as it's no higher than my Equinox was. A few disappointments - I miss my heated seats, the ability to adjust my side mirrors from inside, and lack of a spare tire. But other perks make up for the downsides.

I’m wondering the demographics of the Maverick vs the old Ranger and comparable trucks or even the earlier Courier and its contemporaries. Seems like it may be the same people who bought the 1990s era ranger might be buying the current maverick 😅
This is very much the case for why so many older buyers IMO. They have to be older just to have lived the original small truck era.
In my case; a used '81 Courier bought in '84, a used '87 Ranger XLT Super cab in '88, several '96 Nissan regular cab, (hard body) pickup company vehicles (2 of which I purchased) followed by my used '01 Ranger XLT Supercrew that I gave up for my new '24 Maverick. Drove the first Ranger and a Nissan to over 200k. Gave a Nissan to my son, who now has the '01 Ranger still going.

Really hope my Maverick experience will be as good, but I have my doubts.

44 y/o male here. I wanted something quick, good on gas, easy to work on, and with more ground clearance than my cars. The Ecoboost Maverick XL fit the bill. I've done a ton of stuff to this truck already, and plenty more planned.

You under-bought, same as I did with Maverick #1. Those features are certainly available, maybe order a new one with the options you want?

Nah, it's all good. I'd never find another in Eruption Green and I love 'Fern' (named after my sister who has always hated her middle name 🤣🤣🤣) I don't take long road trips anymore, just a bit of mild offroading with my pittie mix by my side.

Your pup is thinking, 'Mom it going to get cold. Why didn't you get the heated seats'? 😆

59 here ( but will be 60 in a little over a month) have had numerous F-150s and several Rangers, just sold my 2019 Ranger, replaced with a 2024 Maverick hybrid 4k, which is all I need to tow my 16’ enclosed snowmobile trailer.

You are right, it is an old mans truck even if thats not the primary target Ford was thinking when the started selling Mavericks in 2021.
Hey! I'm an immature 69. But, yeah I don't care about flash and show. Just want to haul and get around. I can carry everything I need and tow the trailer in addition. Still averaging 48.4mpg over the summer which astounds me. Holds my motorcycle and a giant load of manure just fine.
