As some I continue to wait for a fluid build Daye, I find myself looking around the new car market.
The following are my opinion on peer vehicles.
The Santa Cruz is just too damned expensive for such mediocre gas mileage. Plus, dealerships in the area are jacking the price 2-5k on top of the existing high msrp.
The Ridgeline, IMO, is the next best thing to an AWD Maverick. But, it is less fuel efficient than the Santa Cruz. But, at least it isn't getting marked-up by Honda dealers in my area.
The hybrid CR-V is a real possibility to replace my hybrid Maverick order, but I still much prefer the utility of a truck bed over a carpeted cargo-hold.
I don't really like the looks of the Tuscon, or Rav-4.
I wouldn't mind an F150, except the price, size, and MPG.
The Ranger's back seat is too small and it gets crap mileage.
In the words of Prince, my Future Hybrid Maverick, "nothing compares to youuu."
IFFF I get tired of waiting, or my currenr car dies, I will probably go nab a "low mark-up" AWD Maverick off a local lot.
