Ford should design a cover for the cavernous left rear hole, and give it to all former buyers free of charge! Also some removable panels on the FX4 skid plate would be great for DIY oil changes on my gravel drive.

So, what I got was:
1) Maybe a sporty trim package with maybe larger tires?
2) Maybe some cosmetic "upgrades"
3) Maybe a larger screen with Sync4

Honestly, pretty underwhelming. Personally, I'm not interested in a sportier Maverick (I have the hybrid) and actually like the cosmetics of my Lariat. The larger infotainment screen is a big negative in my book, especially if it replaces many of the manual switches like is done in my daughter's Suburu Crosstrek.

1) Add the ability to mechanically (i.e. without applying external power) move/roll out a dead HYBRID Maverick out of a compromised (dead) position. Currently, 99% of the time, when a Maverick is dead, it has no OEM onboard power ... the HYBRID must have an external power source (like a Jump Box) available to supply enough temporary power to allow the user to turn on the vehicle and move it out of a locked "P"-to-"N" so it can be rolled out ... IMHO, this is a serious safety issue.

You know about the manual tether in the center console under the dash that you can pull to put it in neutral, right?

I think the purpose of the Maverick is an affordable, practical vehicle with room for further additions on the end user side.

That is it for me. I paid $31k for my truck and many think that is too steep for the Maverick. My same truck costs over $38k in 2024 and I can't imagine Ford doesn't bump the price again with a refresh.

The Maverick isn't a $40k truck to me.

Plus I've had fun tinkering with Forscan - adding lane keep, traffic sign recognition, sport and eco mode, and soon I will add fog lights that will utilize a factory F-150 switch.

My biggest complaints are the map lights are blinding, and the brake booster ramp up is unnatural. Also, the speedometer markings are is useless, and I'm not a fan of the Toyota- I mean Ford tailgate. My biggest wish is for a double wishbone front suspension.

I wish Ford would follow through for those of us who bought to tow behind an RV. They obviously know we exist, as they include flat-towing instruction in the manual...but they leave towbar baseplates up to us to figure out. Doesn't make sense to me. I'd think Ford could option a towing package, either a baseplate/light wiring combo, or the full enchilada with a supplemental braking system.

As it is, they leave us at the mercy of choosing Blue Ox, Roadmaster or Demco.
Blue Ox is an ugly mess and has experienced filures within the group
Roadmaster requires a destruction of the lower shutter system (and warranty concerns)
Demco has no defined method to connect the 6-pin electrical and the electric is not easy to do.

This would be an easy money-maker for Ford. Bare minimum, they could charge $1000, and more likely a baseplate/light package could bring $2000 or more. Please tell them, @fordvideoguy !

I paid 31k for my 22/FX4 and got all the packages, no sunroof, plus a lot of stuff that didn't come in the 23/24 like real leather steering wheel, rear sliding window, digital fan, heated wipers. If ford added half the stuff that I seen in this post we would be looking at a 45/ 50k truck easy. Just buy a ranger. I would settle for a larger screen/wireless and a radio that works all the time, and yes I did get the updated software, and maybe get rid of the blue inside. ford is not your daddy and give all that stuff FREE.

Not a bad price at all. MY2023 were not de-contented, just MY2024.

In my $31k I did get the sunroof, as well as SIBL, my lux package came with the leather wrapped wheel, sliding rear window, and heated wipers - plus I've got an engine block heater and the Tremor package.

I got my new 22xl eco for 21,820 and my 23xl hybrid rollover to 24 for 23, 990 that is two mavericks for 45,810. I would like to see the 25 rollback to 22 prices.

I agree with the comments from the 2/5 video. Although very minor, I would like to see an AUX input (for a CD player). I am not going through the trouble of burning them. I would also have to buy an external CD drive for my laptop. Most new vehicles still have this. I had to spent $100 for a USB player that is 6"x6"x2". Hopefully it fits in the glovebox.
