On my case I love the maverick, but, but I love the look and functionality of the Ridgeline, the main problem is the fuel consumption, I talked to few ppl on person and they told me that they're in the 14-18mpg, so do I, I never been able to get 20mpg in my 2022 EB, but I barely hit the xpressway my drive is 90% local road with the stop and go all they long, the Ridgeline give 14-18 on combine escenarios, about the ground clearang I never scraped my maverick so I guess the RL is pretty close too.

The real seat area is mega clever, and the freaking bed is awesome, the Ridgeline is becoming a dinosaur with the same V6 and no incremental gains at all.

That said, If you give me for free both vehicles to pick one my head would xplode, but I think I might go for the RL.

I traded a 2019 Ridgeline for my 2026 Maverick. Fuel mileage is really my only knock but it still beat most trucks there.

The under bed storage compartment was great. I used it a lot. I can't get nearly as much in my Maverick. 85,000 and there had been a few recalls but not a thing ever went wrong with the truck.

Now a similar equipped Ridgeline to my Maverick would have been $10,000 plus more dollars.

Didn't Honda drop the Ridgeline ?
Last I heard production was suspended. They are using the plant to produce something that's selling. I haven't heard that it was done being produced completely, that would be news i haven't heard. When I heard why I thought it was a strategic move. Considering spending resources building and distributing a slug vs something they have a hard time keeping in stock and actually making money on.

Just a look at Nissan car manufacturing needs to stay profitable. There is no room for error.

There actually isn't that much difference in cubic ft between the two. The reason is the Maverick has higher sides. Don't know if it's true but what I read online the Ridgeline with a tonneau cover will not offer enough room height wise for a 5 gallon gas can with the spout. Well unless you remove the tonneau cover. AI says the Ridgeline is 33.9 Ford Maverick 33.3 only .6 difference in cubic feet bed space.

For me for a truck the Honda Ridgeline is a bust I wouldn't waste my money time and it doesn't have or offer what I need everyday or nearly every day. I think I have 4 or 5 diesel cans for tractors and 2 gas cans for snowmobile, tiller for garden, SxS so no way. Besides the stuff I already mentioned. I'm glad you liked that bed storage compartment. For me it's a definite NO WAY with back surgery and needing a conventional spare tire but the biggest is needing to access it with the bed loaded. You know using the truck as a truck. I also have to have enough ground clearance many times out back or taking or bringing wood in.

It's a truck and gets used like it. Even going to the dump or steel recycling that is not uncommon to pick something up in the tire. They post warnings of this as well. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I'm still waiting for the OP picture of his new Maverick.

A No-Spill 5 gal is 15" tall, with spout. Would that not fit under a tonneau on a Ridgeline?

The Ridgeline has a trunk under the rear of the bed. Comes in very handy. 7.3 cubit feet. One thing i miss in the Ford.

Very well could my spouts are a lot higher, possibly the cans as wel. Besides check my post, I don't have first hand knowledge just what I read on line 23/24.

Don't know if it's true but what I read online the Ridgeline with a tonneau cover will not offer enough room height wise for a 5 gallon gas can with the spout.
I would suggest finding a owner of a Ridgeline with a tonneau cover and ask him/her.

AI states 17" high rails so I believe you are correct. If you shop around you can get one to fit. You might have to throw out the old gas or diesel cans you have. Then again maybe just change out the spouts.

That under bed storage is brilliant, that would empty so much space on truck, also is bigger than the rear seat storage on my mav, the capacity of putting my bike on the back seat is awesome too.

Been in love with the Ridgeline forever but was out of my reach, as soon they make a hybrid or electric gonna plan a visit to the dealers.

Let's be clear love my mav too.

Also about the higher price, my cousin (google) say the with the 2.99 interest on honda' s now even if the Ridgeline is 5k more on morphine than the maverick lariat ( on my zone) it would pay 80$ less a month than the mav lariat. So a Honda with 7k more still under the price of ford offers at the moment of the question.

I already expressed and posted the absurdity of that. Also what the truck suffers or the downfalls of having it. Glad you liked it but you are a rarity different strokes for different folks. If you missed it so much they still sell the Ridgeline?

Sadly a hybrid Ridgeline will likely be 60k.

I ran into town earlier. 48 mpg. I got an indicated 30 mpg in my Honda once but in real calculated average it was just under 27. Their computer MPG was embarrassing off.

My last camping trip showed 17mpg. Once calculated it was barely over 14. (pulling a trailer in the WV mountains.)

Me thinks you might be a wee bit touchy. I really liked the trunk. Not a big deal.

That's okay I'm glad you did, you paid for it. Me it's like teets on a boar, useless and creates other complications or removes needs that truck owners look for. I'm not talking about truck owners who just use it from point a to point b but those actually needing a truck and it's versatility. Sorry if I came off touchy, it was not meant to be.

The actual principal that brought about the unitized body truck in a way Honda Ridgeline was ahead of the times. Only thing was they were or it appears like a mix rather than a true truck. If the redid it more in line for truck owners, I think they would be a highly contender or competitor to the Ford Maverick. Of course JMHO.

I've heard the fit and finish complaint before but I just do not see it on my Maverick. Hood, tailgate and doors all have even gaps with no protrusions. I have long suspected mine to be made on a Tuesday, Wednesday or a Thursday as I have had great luck with mine all the way around.

The interior plastic is soft but I no longer have a dog and it still looks great. The clear coat on the black FX/4 wheels is a bit on the soft side and scratches easily. I am running All Weather Falken Wildpeaks so i can stay away from the winter / summer changeovers now. Plus save $300 / year.

Nothing is perfect, and always ready or open for improvements. Yes I would like to see improvements on the Maverick as well. I don't think you will see the price go down unless incentives or rebates. That being said it would only happen in dire situations. I don't really see that EV truck taking off. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it.

Yep towing capabilities need to pushed higher also the advanced AWD needs to match the other trucks towing capacity, 2000lbs is a joke. I hope Ford understands this. Not only new potential buyers but those with the 2000lb towing will be trading them in for a 5000lb towing capability. I can see it being very profitable addition to Ford and a win for the consumer.
Not everyone tows
