Methinks the OP might mean the stock Contis. If that is the case, I'm sort of inclined to agree.

The stock Conti’s, on mine, are smooth as silk in city driving and not bad on the highway.

It certainly rides a lot better than my previous two body-on-frame trucks. I had the opportunity to drive the Mav and my old 2012 Nissan Frontier back-to-back before I got the Nissan sold, and man. The difference is night and day. I didn't realize how bad the ride in the Nissan actually was!

I’ve never been one to speed or be in a big hurry while driving but, so far, I’ve noticed I love cruising in my Mav. Just taking it easy and enjoying the ride. It’s smooth, comfortable and easy to maneuver. Slow rolling is my new driving experience. Anyone else feel the same way?

100%! I am use to nible cars, use to drive Chevy bolt EV, have been renting cars since I live near NYC, purchased the Mav in 2024, been cruising since, just love getting in the Mav and cruise around to go to stores. Just yesterday hopped on 1-9 in NJ and went south then came back up north just to get gas, I WFH so need to get out to get some air, I SHOULD be walking but my truck is too tempting and the rides are just so much fun.

Boy, I hope I never end up behind you guys.

75 years now and still enjoy the "Italian Tune Ups" and regular blasts to 60 MPH! But also enjoy the trip. Will be heading out for a month long road trip in the western mountains. 1100 miles of break in and just changed the oil. Time to really get acquainted!

I've got a 23 Eco with just over 40k miles. Heading out late next week on about a 2,000 mile drive. Years ago I bought a tapered seat cushion. Made a big difference on long trips. An earlier post mentioned foot cramping on the accelerator. I agree. The pedal needs to be longer, so it's closer to the floor. Just tried attaching a piece of wood to the pedal cover. Seems to help, but I haven't made a long drive yet. We shall see.

Those two things are my biggest objection to the Mav.

Would never have another vehicle without CARPLAY, or something comparable. Play music from Flash Drive or Iphone....

The one feature about the Maverick I've never heard anyone mentions are the 3 dash vents. In 90 degree temperatures I can adjust/open the vents in the right direction and they are perfect. Never had a vehicle with such effective VENTS. Can easily adjust in all directions.

I put these cheap pedals on my Tremor.

The brake replaced the rubber pad, the throttle installed over the throttle so it is wider, longer and thicker. Not a big change but enough to be more comfortable with my short legs.

The ride is rough and uncomposed regardless of speed. Routinely spend time in a Tahoe Premiere (magnetic adjustable shocks) and it really highlights how rough of a ride the Maverick is.

So why do you keep it?

That’s the reason I got the Lobo, great for the roads here in western North Carolina! That and a few motorcycles keep me busy if I run out of stuff to do.

I'm looking forward to getting mine on the mountain roads. The Eibach springs and wider tires will shine for sure.

I’ve made couple of long distance trips on interstate hwys. Set the cruise control and drive at comfortable speed. Ride comfy too.

I was a pilot, point plane in direction wanna go, navigate, set the plane for cruise and fly on. Can’t go any faster, or slower. Same attributes applied in navigating the Maverick on road trips.
