I’ve watched all his videos on the maverick as well, and while he does an ok job on reviewing it, I’ve found myself in situations where he freaked out over a rock on the trail that he thought was going to ding the bottom of his maverick and I’ve gone over rocks the same size or slightly bigger and had no issues. Same with some of the obstacles that he just refused to push the maverick through, I’ve found myself more often than not being able to climb through worse obstacles than he put his maverick through. The part that gets me about people underestimating the AWD system on the maverick is it’s the same exact system as on the bronco sport without the badlands package and I’ve seen quite a few videos of that around YouTube going over some pretty sketchy terrain, granted it does have much better approach, departure and break over angles, but at the end of the day it’s the same system, so who’s to say that lifting the maverick and doing some modifications to improve all its angles won’t yield at least a little bit of that capability the Bronco sport has? I’m not saying you can turn the maverick into some off road monster, but it definitely has more capability/potential than people give it credit forThe below video is what sold me off the EcoBoost AWD, ground clearance is just not there for my limited off-roading, but certainly it may be better than what the video shows.
