The below video is what sold me off the EcoBoost AWD, ground clearance is just not there for my limited off-roading, but certainly it may be better than what the video shows.

I’ve watched all his videos on the maverick as well, and while he does an ok job on reviewing it, I’ve found myself in situations where he freaked out over a rock on the trail that he thought was going to ding the bottom of his maverick and I’ve gone over rocks the same size or slightly bigger and had no issues. Same with some of the obstacles that he just refused to push the maverick through, I’ve found myself more often than not being able to climb through worse obstacles than he put his maverick through. The part that gets me about people underestimating the AWD system on the maverick is it’s the same exact system as on the bronco sport without the badlands package and I’ve seen quite a few videos of that around YouTube going over some pretty sketchy terrain, granted it does have much better approach, departure and break over angles, but at the end of the day it’s the same system, so who’s to say that lifting the maverick and doing some modifications to improve all its angles won’t yield at least a little bit of that capability the Bronco sport has? I’m not saying you can turn the maverick into some off road monster, but it definitely has more capability/potential than people give it credit for

Only time I will take my Hybrid off road will be on mostly flat fields my own property, where I can use my tractor to get it out if I get into a wet spot. It's not a real truck. And I have owned a few and know the difference.

I bought a pair of these on ebay for $14. Along with some webbing I can safely hook up to the front of the vehicle without crawling underneath and little risk of scratching the bumper skin. I'll store them under the seat. I'll report how they work.

Does the tee side fit in the holes?

So you overextended the capabilities of your vehicle, then complain at Ford for not having an easy way to bail you out? You bought basically a sedan with a bed if you have the hybrid... Don't take it off roading... If you want a truck to leave pavement order the AWD FX4 or Tremor and take it off roading (within reason it's still a crossover with a bed and some off road bits at that point).
Do you feel better now?

the small holes are for securing the vehicle on a roll back wrecker with T hooks. It allows the truck to be tied down without using a J hook which can sometimes damage the steering rack assembly.

Looks like a metal hook which is supposed to be a no-no.

Has any one had a front tow bar installed? If so, what is it attached to?

Ford Maverick Maverick hybrid towed out by a Subaru hook
Does the tee side fit in the holes?
OK, I got the hooks today. The tee side does not fit in the holes but the hook side does. I have two of them so I can rig up a harness. I know the good book says not to use metal hooks but this is much better than the single hook at the end of my tow chain and as a bonus I can now easily rig up a bow line for hauling my canoe.

Most of the time when I get stuck it doesn't take much to get out. I'll leave the ravine retrievals and mud bogs to the four wheelers.
