While it would be nice that ford could give us a way to change sounds. There is a way to pickup the week@ss engine sounds they give us in sports mode and reverse filter out the acceleration and speed elements then reapply and amplify and move the sounds to the back near tailpipe of engine sounds to our liking.

With the stock exhaust, I don’t think so. My eb is silent, from the tailpipe. Now, if you start jacking around changing the muffler, etc. then yes. But so does any 4 cylinder. Can’t make 4 sound like 8.

So you find the Ecoboost exhaust note tolerable if you can’t hear it…
There are plenty of turbocharged 4 bangers that sound good. The Ecoboost isn’t one of them.

I sounds just like stock in the cabin while driving and I can still hear my intake over the exhaust which is what i wanted.

My goal was to try an achieve the look of the old Sport Trac Adrenalin package and the exhaust that I just had done is one step closer. Stock muffler, stock cat and pre cat with only a resonator delete and dual outlet tip.

More indepth photos that folks were asking for.

Sorry to revive this post but was wondering if you had a link to the dual tip exhaust or know what the diameter for the hybrid exhaust? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t seem to find the diameter. I want to copy your idea and install the dual tip. I love the look! Thanks!

It 2.25 inside diameter the length is about 8 to 9 in long and the exhaust tips are 3 in . You can find them on Amazon. Hope that helps .

It is more throaty if you can believe it for a NA 2.5, especially on cold starts
