Can anyone provide any good dash cam recommendations they use for their Maverick? Looking into purchasing one and getting it installed. I have no experience with using dash cams before, but would like to invest in one for peace of mind. Thanks!

There are some folks who are happy with the generic chinese cameras you can get for under $100.

I'm not one of those people, and I would get a Garmin or Blackvue. If you care about gps & speed, and you want it in your recordings, you have to spend about $200-300.

The cheapest unit I'd consider would be a Garmin Mini 2. Refurbished on Amazon they're $95, but you also have to add the power cord and micro sd.

What makes you think Garmin products aren’t made by China?

they are, of course.

It's the features, performance, mobile app, everything else is what you get from a brand name.

My advice is to ask yourself what features you need: GPS location/date/time, bump recording, how many cameras, what resolution, connectivity options, resolution, etc. to narrow down your list of options. Then from there, you can find a lot that meet what you want and see reviews and find sample videos to see the quality.

Some come highly recommended on here and on other boards including Garmin Mini, BlackVue, Rexing, Rove and NextBase. All good cameras, but they all vary in price vs. features.

Garmin's headquarters are near where I live and a friend of mine works there. I have a Garmin 67W that I just got. Need to get it installed.

I will go with Chinese brands like 360, xiaomi or 70 mai. I'm using 70 mai front and back camera. I have one issue with that the camera is very sensitive.

Interesting video to consider.
Exactly. 2k or 4k cameras with crappy sensors and software don't produce useful video.

That video was made prior to the ring dashcam release but look at the sample snapshots and video people have posted. I'd add the ring to the list to avoid, also.

Garmin 67w powered by a Garmin OBD2 plug-in power module. No wiring, 5 minute installation.

I have several, zero problems...
