Thanks for pointing out features to look for and what an individual might feel is most important to them.My advice is to ask yourself what features you need: GPS location/date/time, bump recording, how many cameras, what resolution, connectivity options, resolution, etc. to narrow down your list of options. Then from there, you can find a lot that meet what you want and see reviews and find sample videos to see the quality.
Some come highly recommended on here and on other boards including Garmin Mini, BlackVue, Rexing, Rove and NextBase. All good cameras, but they all vary in price vs. features.

Cameras are so important today. Lucky you had one installed for your wife.Rexing V1 Pro front and rear cameras. We have them in 5 cars. Wife was rear ended a few years ago and the rear camera picked up the guy on his cell phone as he plowed into her.
I have had this one since February, Love it.I've been looking at these style cameras, but all of the rearview cameras mount outside the vehicle. Wouldn't mind finding one with a rearview camera that mounts inside.
