Seatbelt adjuster failure. It is the silly plastic they cant fix, but I cant move it up and down correctly. They left the SO as one giant open one instead of individual repairs. Two repairrs are missing since they just took the cover off and didn't repalce anything.
And the truck was released to you like this?

Well for like 5 mintues until I told them not a chance. Realistically if they won't do the buyback I will go ta a different dealer. The one here is obviously garbage.

I will say I am not happy. I have driven the truck back and forth to the dealership for repairs than I have gotten to drive it. My Frontier I traded it hit the shop once at 100k miles. It is not the truck. It is my dealer experience and corporate ford. I have lost all confidence.

Why would I want to stick with a vehicle when I don't believe in the company anymore?

What is the exact issue? This seems excessive over a seatbelt adjuster. Does it not retract properly? Is it just the height adjustment? I kinda doubt the lemon law will work.

Try a different dealership and let them fix the dang thing.

Not bogus at all. It is not the metal bracket, but rather the plastic trim that covers the slide mechanism. I have taken it to the dealership going on round six. It has come back barely functioning every time.

Any yes, at this juncture I do have buyers remorse. The interior is crazy cheap and seems pretty poorly engineered if somehting so dumb can't be fixed easily. I am not going to touch it myself to not risk warranty issues.

Honestly, I don't understand the endless defense of Ford or this truck. It was a $33k truck basically which not that long ago would have gotten a very nice Frontier. Why we all tolerate the insane price hikes is beyond me, but enjoy paying more for less as the years continue.

My dealershiip has been terrible. Ford corporate has been useless. Please tell me why I should be happy to own this?

I hope you get some sort of satisfaction but none of what you are saying adds up. The service history is online no person in the dealer service department has to be called. And with any seatbelt failure the whole seatbelt assembly is replaced, not repaired.
This is true, I’m in the insurance business. There are very few circumstances in which the entire assembly would not be replaced

LOL, sorry, not laughing at your situation.

I just had to go into the garage to check my ‘24 Lariat hybrid. I didn’t know there was even an adjustment like this!

But now I don’t want to move it, afraid to find out some part may malfunction!

A friend of a co-worker, also in Georgia had their Maverick bought back due to a secondary water pump issue. The dealer ended up giving him a really good deal on a hybrid F150 just before the hurricane hit so he was able to run a significant portion of his house for the two or three weeks he was without power. No lawyer involved. I would seriously recommend a new dealership.

Hi All, I was hoping someone might have some insight as to how to move the buyback process forward. My stealership that sold me the truck is not cooperating with corporate Ford so I am having a hard time getting approved. I live in GA so I have the option of the AG, but that seems unneccesary since I should easily qualify.

They have tried to fix the same issue 5 times and on number six, along with having the truck for more than 30 days.
I had a Mercury Capri bought back in the early 90’s. I put contact paper with words “This car is a LEMON in my opinion and was purchased at xxxxx Ford/Mercury” written in large letters. Parked it on the street in front of the dealer. The dealer tried to get me to move it, but the street is public. They even called the cops on me and of course they did nothing.

Took less than a week for Ford to buy it back. Zero issues.

And the truth comes out. Go buy another Frontier.
