I’m only seeing 1 option for a bed tent that fits the 4’6” Maverick bed.

Any others?
I had a regular 4x7 (not truck) tent set up in the bed, I could never keep the tent off my head when sleeping. I gave up on that idea. I have a tonneau cover and I bought one of those "SUV Tents". It worked out very well. This was trip the first time using it. On the next trip, I'm going to back the truck up far enough that the tires touch the tent. That should give me enough room to roll the tonneau cover almost all the way back, giving myself more room to crawl in bed. I'm really liking this set-up because I'm still sleeping in the truck bed, off the ground, and I still have a private place to get out of bed, stand up, and get dressed ... all in one tent :)

I'm going with what this guy did. Youtube Vid
Unfortunately finding one of those double tents is almost impossible as they're almost always out of stock. I found a local guy with an "extra large" single so I bought it and I'm gonna get the 2x4's and see if I can get it to work tomorrow.

Yes. I thought about that one as well. I can just tell you from experience that yes you could sleep on a 6 ft bed but your tent walls have to be near vertical. Sure, the bottom of your tent is 6 ft but then going to be on top of an air mattress of some sort and then you on top of the air mattress. At that point, Your toes in your head are about 12 in off the bed and there my tent was probably only about 5 ft long. I later used some tricks with some plywood to make it an almost 7 ft deck and the tent touching my head was still a problem. This was with a normal backpacking tent. If you can find a truck bed tent with near vertical sides, it will probably not be a problem.

4x7 tent directly in 6' bed

Here's a link to a moment in another vid by the same guy where he shows the mattress/sleeping bag setup. My tent won't be as wide, but should be the same length so I don't anticipate any problems. Video link

I plan to do a post when I camp in it but it will be a while as my wife has surgery this Tuesday and I'll be nursemaid for awhile.

I like what you did.. Bed tents look cool, but what if I need to drive somewhere? Then it becomes a pain.

Actually, the tent stands alone. You can just disconnect the straps from the truck and drive away. You do not have to break down the tent. When you get back from your little trip, you just back up into the tent again and reconnect the straps. The straps are not needed to hold the tent up. They are only there to form a seal between the tent and your vehicle. Also, that whole side of the tent closes up and you can use it as a normal tent, if you need to camp normal instead of in the truck bed.
