Did anyone ever make a you tube video of how to install Mabett's product above the exhaust pipe? Some of these directions
are hard for me to understand and the diagram is not helping a lot. Now I see the issue. The diagram shows the muffler and exhaust pipe on the passenger side of the car with a real short exhaust pipe. I have a 2023 FX4 with the muffler under the front of the box on the passenger side and a long exhaust pipe on the driver side of the car. Did Ford switch sides on the FX4? Thank you.

I bought this kit about 8 months ago and then winter hit. Not sure if I can make it work with the FX4. The holes for the wiring are not the same. Time will tell. Thank you for the note about the videos.

I was one of the first ones to receive and install the driver's side rear opening cover. I watched the mabett install video on YouTube and it was so simple to install.

I'm not sure if they're including the rust proof bolts with the kit yet or not but if not you'll definitely want to pick up some stainless bolts from home Depot, I believe those cost me around 10 or 11 bucks

I installed mine a couple of weeks ago, the paper directions are trash. I laid under the truck and mocked it up on the garage floor then installed

I hope you can see the difference. The upper photo is from another post and there is only about an inch from bolt to bend. On the lower photo you can see on my truck it is more like 2 inches.

Make sure you're on the right panel - your pic looks like the panel that's up and to the right of the panel where the bracket goes (in the first pic). Looking at those round depressions next to the push fitting that holds the wiring harness it looks like you're trying to put it in the wrong place.

Will double check. Thank you.

Yep - I was looking at the wrong panel too when I installed it and about to thread bolt, because was almost under the one I needed, had to scooch back up for view point to match the instructions.
Which actually matched just fine in what to do - leaving things loose was main improvement, until the end.
Even the bracket left loose until I was sure where it went, just enough bolt friction to require me to move it with some force, then dropped the panel and kept bracket in place as torqued down.

Pretty sure this is the post I followed. And a couple after about 85 ft lb on the frame bolt.

Stainless bolts can gall into steel so you might want to hit them with some anti seize just to be safe
