I loved the seats in my last-generation Ranger, and I love the seats in my Maverick. I have the power lumbar and leave it about halfway. The seats are one of the few things about my Maverick about which I'd actually use the word "love". The rest is "meh".

But our experiences with the seat should mean zilch to you. Ergonomics is an insane subject. Each of has not only different heights and weights, but also different torso to legs proportions. Big butts, small butts. Wide hips, narrow hips. Long legs, short legs. Strong core, weak core. Whether the rest of us like or hate the seats isn't in any way an indicator that you will like or hate them - it truly isn't.

Agree…I drove a new Civic and it has no lumbar adjustments and my lower back was sore within about 5 minutes of driving it.

You need to specify the trim level, as I believe they all have different seats.
Well, it’s obviously not available on the XL, and I’m pretty sure the XLT LUX has the same lumbar as the Lariat.

I had serious serious lower back issues from a few hours in a 2005 Impreza. It was like "anti lumbar" the lower portion was so far back in compared to the top and to the bottom cushion.

LOVE our Lariat Lux.

no LUX but will look at additional foam backing
Look into adding the adj. lumbar. Cheap parts and not too hard. I plan on adding it for sure on my XL - possibly to both seats...

See:

I added the power lumbar support to my driver's side seat. The part number is HU5Z-9665500-G. I chose to remove the motor/cable assembly from the new part and install it on my seat back support so I didn't have to disassemble it. The cable ends are a little tricky to get into the small holes on the back support frame, but once you find them it's not too difficult. The motor is easy to connect wires to with speaker spades. The factory switch is built into the power seat module, so I wired up a dpdt switch from Grainger. I attached a pic of the wiring. The switch I bought ended up being a pretty deep mount once I wired it up so I opted to attach it to my seat mount with some 3M VHB tape. I was worried it would hit the inner frame if I mounted it into the plastic side panel. Over all it wasn't too difficult given the added comfort.

That's what roof racks are for. My mistake. MINI had lumbar support manual dial. Was not anywhere near as good as the Maverick.
