Thanks for the advice

Do I need to activate this? Make sure you have the MY22 personal offer in place.
Private Offer is $2750. It is tied to your name, address, and ph# you used at time of order. Dealers make as much as $1000 on finance, find a credit union. Ask for no "add ons" but if they insist, give in to one, like paint protection. Good luck.

Does the 23 Lariat come standard with any of the items that are part of the 22 lux package? It may make the deal a little easier to swallow. If not still buy it & enjoy it, you can always trade it for a 2024 & probably lose very little on it.

That was the first thing I checked but there are things I want from the Lux package.

Personal offer is $2750, not $2500... As others have said, buy the truck and sell it if you don't want it.

Then follow @fordvideoguy next time and his advice. MANY of us had to go walk our dealers through the new 2023 ordering due to the changes between 11/14 and the 11/30 deadline because of the MY changes to packages. Took me more than one trip to get them to fix the order correctly for me, but they did.

Ford should have (and likely DID) convert your order properly with everything but the 360 Assist package. Your dealer took it off. No ifs, ands or buts, the DEALER changed the 2023 order from what Ford set up for you. Dealer should be named and shamed.
Giving the dealer a small chance to make it right but if they don't witch I suspect they wont I will be shouting it from the rooftops to not touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Hello everyone. My names is Javier and I have a Maverick order that has had a lot of activity in the last few months and I think my dealer has screwed me. So ill try and keep it brief. I ordered a 22 Hybrid Maverick Lariat with the lux package in October 2021. I ordered it at my dealer and paid 500 to reserve it. In September of 2022 a year later it got changed to a 23 order cause the supply constraints were causing delays. I understand that they removed a few things from the packages and that they removed the copilot 360 assists in order to get trucks built. When I got that email I was given a Vin and was able to track it. I instantly noticed that the options were gone. It just shows Lariat with no lux or anything else. So I went in to the dealer and let them know that the new 23 order was incorrect and was told they would contact Ford. Fast forward a month and I get another email saying that the truck is going into production and the tracking still shows the wrong packages. So I go back into the dealer to let them know it went into production but the packages are still wrong. Again they said they would get in touch with Ford. Last week I get an email saying the truck is built and will ship in a couple weeks but the tracking still says the packages are wrong. Im byond angry now and feel like I wont be getting the truck I ordered. I also feel like the dealer would be real happy to have me walk away cause then they would have a Lariat on their lot to sell. I'm looking for some advice here from people that may have more knowledge/experience. I contacted Ford last Friday and they confirmed that the 23 order was just a Lariat no Lux and said that I had to talk to the dealer. Also in the email with the Ford supervisor she said that having your order changed to a 23 is not an automatic process and that that has to be done by someone at the dealer. I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow or Wednesday but wanted to check here before I did for help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and in advance for any help you can provide.
The 360 package is required for the Lux package on the Lariat. If you drop one, I believe they'll drop both.

None of the Lariat LUX items became standard. The 22 Lariat Lux contained the 3 items that are now in the new 360Assist, as well as Remote Start, Spray-in Bedliner and the Bed rail system. A total of 6 items were removed from the LUX package.

When Ford converted my 2022 order to 2023, they left my LUX package and added the Remote Start, SIBL and the BedRail system along with the new 2023 LUX package. That was how Ford re-ordered a 2023 Lariat that had a 2022 Lux package. Guess the assist features got lost in the transition, but @fordvideoguy had quickly alerted us to the fact that we needed to add the 360 Assist package if we wanted those things (Evasive steering, Adaptive Cruise and Rear Parking Sensors).

So when the dealer looked at the Priority Code 99 order created by Ford, they HAD TO HAVE REMOVED the Lux and maybe some of the other 6 items. It isn't a case of "Gee we forgot to add them," unless they are talking about only the three 360 Copilot Assist items.

I'm not sure what you're thinking anyone can do at this point. Your options seem to be either taking the truck without all the options you want, or seeing if the dealership will put you on a list when a truck with your options is passed over by another customer.
You don't have much leverage with the dealer. A truck in hand has value so it's worthwhile asking the dealer what they could do to make the situation right without poisoning the situation to where you do not take delivery. If you are not happy with the truck then you can sell or trade it for more than what you paid for it.

I wonder when someone is going to contact a Contract Attorney and the Courts get involved?

I have an order for XLT EB CP360 with hitch and all weather floor mats that was transitioned from '22 to '23 order and I had to sign the transition order so that the dealership could submit it. I agree with others' advice to keep the vehicle. What you do after that concentrate on making the best decisions for yourself. You will have a commodity that many people will pay for and unlike the past, you will be in the drivers seat literally and figuratively. Keep cool. I wish you the best.

Adding my vote to those who suggested purchase the truck yourself (at MSRP), and drive it for a while. Your dealership screwed up royally, but I doubt you'll have much luck with the AG or the courts... Lousy dealerships typically have really good lawyers with lots of experience dealing with issues like this..

If you find that really can't live without the Lux/CP360/Assist stuff, start watching / calling every dealer within whatever radius you're comfortable driving to, and get on their call list for when they get a refused Maverick configured as you would like.

Then you can either trade in your "used" Maverick, or can flip it to CarMax (or one of the others). Hybrids are still getting WAY above MSRP in the used market.

You'll probably have to pay some ADM if you find a "rejected" Maverick, but you can use the "flip" money to at least partially offset that.

None of this makes up for the fact that your dealership screwed up your order in the first place, but it won't be as big a financial hit as if you just walked away and let THEM take the extra profit on YOUR truck. And you'll have a Maverick to drive until you find the one you want.

C Smith is right on, good advice! Don't let them have the truck. The dealer did not do what they were supposed to do. Also, you may demand to extend the Ford warranty, like double it to 6 years 72,000 miles. That does not cost them anything up front and you will get more on a resale since it is transferable. Good Luck!
How are they extending the warranty with no cost? Someone has to pay for the extended service plan.....

Raising hell likely won't get you a discount. I recommend this -

1. Buy the truck as is. Hopefully you are getting it for MSRP. Make sure you have the MY22 personal offer in place. That's a $2500 rebate because Ford changed packages. Do NOT leave it on their lot. They don't deserve it.
2. Find your own financing. Don't let them get any credit/money for finding you financing.
3a. Drive it. If you like it keep it to trade in for a 2024 that you order from a different dealer!
3b. Sell it to Vroom, Carvana, CarMax, or even another Ford dealer. Don't give them the satisfaction of making that profit from screwing you over. Hybrids are so in demand you'll get a profit.
4. If you were truly shafted by that dealer then tell everyone on the forum who it was. No one else needs your experience. Write negative reviews on their social media sites.
Great advice ! I would add check Carmigo as well - gave me the highest offer for my first Maverick. I have another Mav on order with no possible time frame for the build and I will say having my Lariat Mav in the driveway makes it so much easier to wait for Ford to build anther one for my business. I would do exactly as CSmith advised - take the truck, finance myself , drive it , order again from a different dealer when the 24 order banks open OR at that time there may be a new competitor to the Mav.

Hello everyone. My names is Javier and I have a Maverick order that has had a lot of activity in the last few months and I think my dealer has screwed me.

Hello Javier,

Sounds like they made a mistake. But I agree with most everyone else-turning to the courts is a waste.

Is the dealership part of a dealership 'chain/family of dealerships'? Perhaps they can swap yours out? It's a long shot, but if they have one coming in, with the Lux package and 360.

Also, does this sales information you have-have the same sales ORDER NUMBER from your original order? That would be an indicator that they did the conversion from a '22 to '23 order-and then you would have more of a leg to stand on...for a possible swap for something in their incoming inventory and/or knowing that you should have the transition private offer of $2750.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease but it doesn't have to be unpleasant for you or for them.
Good luck and let us know the outcome!
Try to stay hopeful for a resolution and assume positive intent. ❤

Thanks for all the advise everyone. For anyone interested in my situation I went to the dealer and this is what happened. There was another customer that had an order for a 22 that got switched to a 23 and was the same priority code as me but his vehicle has not been built. So they switched our vehicles because his build was just a base lariat. So he is getting the build they messed up on for me witch is what he wanted and then they altered his build to match what I was supposed to get. Still feels a bit strange but at this point I'm just trying to get the truck I ordered 15 months ago. I will update once something changes.
