Hello everyone. My names is Javier and I have a Maverick order that has had a lot of activity in the last few months and I think my dealer has screwed me. So ill try and keep it brief. I ordered a 22 Hybrid Maverick Lariat with the lux package in October 2021. I ordered it at my dealer and paid 500 to reserve it. In September of 2022 a year later it got changed to a 23 order cause the supply constraints were causing delays. I understand that they removed a few things from the packages and that they removed the copilot 360 assists in order to get trucks built. When I got that email I was given a Vin and was able to track it. I instantly noticed that the options were gone. It just shows Lariat with no lux or anything else. So I went in to the dealer and let them know that the new 23 order was incorrect and was told they would contact Ford. Fast forward a month and I get another email saying that the truck is going into production and the tracking still shows the wrong packages. So I go back into the dealer to let them know it went into production but the packages are still wrong. Again they said they would get in touch with Ford. Last week I get an email saying the truck is built and will ship in a couple weeks but the tracking still says the packages are wrong. Im byond angry now and feel like I wont be getting the truck I ordered. I also feel like the dealer would be real happy to have me walk away cause then they would have a Lariat on their lot to sell. I'm looking for some advice here from people that may have more knowledge/experience. I contacted Ford last Friday and they confirmed that the 23 order was just a Lariat no Lux and said that I had to talk to the dealer. Also in the email with the Ford supervisor she said that having your order changed to a 23 is not an automatic process and that that has to be done by someone at the dealer. I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow or Wednesday but wanted to check here before I did for help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and in advance for any help you can provide.

I'm not sure what you're thinking anyone can do at this point. Your options seem to be either taking the truck without all the options you want, or seeing if the dealership will put you on a list when a truck with your options is passed over by another customer.

That's pretty much what I figured but I'm desperate. My plan is to raise hell to see if I can get them to give me a good discount for messing it up this bad. Then in a few years maybe trade it in for a plug in hybrid and a build I actually want.

I'm sure they will be more than happy to discount the Maverick for you. After all, it's the right thing to do 😁

Best advice? Come up with a reasonable plan and stick with it. Don’t give in. I went to pick up mine and they tried to uncharge almost $1500 saying it’s the new price. Sounds like you have a solid case for a discount or dibs on another unit that rolls in.

Raising hell likely won't get you a discount. I recommend this -

1. Buy the truck as is. Hopefully you are getting it for MSRP. Make sure you have the MY22 personal offer in place. That's a $2500 rebate because Ford changed packages. Do NOT leave it on their lot. They don't deserve it.
2. Find your own financing. Don't let them get any credit/money for finding you financing.
3a. Drive it. If you like it keep it to trade in for a 2024 that you order from a different dealer!
3b. Sell it to Vroom, Carvana, CarMax, or even another Ford dealer. Don't give them the satisfaction of making that profit from screwing you over. Hybrids are so in demand you'll get a profit.
4. If you were truly shafted by that dealer then tell everyone on the forum who it was. No one else needs your experience. Write negative reviews on their social media sites.

Good luck!

The window sticker shows the wrong build of just Lariat.
Whatever you do, keep the truck. If you don't actually want it, you can make a quick buck on the flip. Don't let the dealer get away with making a profit from their incompetence or blatant disregard.

Do I need to activate this? Make sure you have the MY22 personal offer in place.

I believe you have a contract For the truck you ordered. There are three parts of a contract. Offer, acceptance and consideration. i would call your states attorney generals office and explain your situation and see what they say. If they agree you have a contract see if they will intervene for you with the dealer. If the AG agrees you have a contract but won’t intercede it comes down to how much you are willing to spend for a lawyer.
good luck

If your dealer rolled your order over correctly then it should already be in the Vincent system and your dealer will see it. That would be a demand. If it ain't there then he didn't roll it over right. You might make another call to Ford CS and ask if the $2,500 personal offer is on your account/truck. I would expect they can tell.

Also, the rebate is called the MY22 Maverick Transition Offer. I may also have gotten the amount wrong. According to a post by the FordVideoGuy the amount is $2,750 for hybrids.

Personal offer is $2750, not $2500... As others have said, buy the truck and sell it if you don't want it.

Then follow @fordvideoguy next time and his advice. MANY of us had to go walk our dealers through the new 2023 ordering due to the changes between 11/14 and the 11/30 deadline because of the MY changes to packages. Took me more than one trip to get them to fix the order correctly for me, but they did.

Ford should have (and likely DID) convert your order properly with everything but the 360 Assist package. Your dealer took it off. No ifs, ands or buts, the DEALER changed the 2023 order from what Ford set up for you. Dealer should be named and shamed.

C Smith is right on, good advice! Don't let them have the truck. The dealer did not do what they were supposed to do. Also, you may demand to extend the Ford warranty, like double it to 6 years 72,000 miles. That does not cost them anything up front and you will get more on a resale since it is transferable. Good Luck!
