My Maverick has finally shipped and I am looking for some good advice for my situation.
I originally ordered my Maverick October of 2021 and it was converted in September to a 23 It has finally shipped and is on it's way to my dealership.
Cactus Gray hybrid with moonroof and blackout package are my only options. I'm super excited.

My issue is I have had little to no contact with my dealership and I'm just concerned they have not contacted me one single time since ordering the vehicle every time I call it's a runaround so I usually just stop by there on my way home from work to make a long story short when they try to look up my information they always seem to have a little bit of difficulty and the phone numbers aren't matching mysteriously ?? . For some reason there's another phone number tied to my account which does not belong to me ?? I've asked to have it removed multiple times but it never happens
I know this sounds confusing but please stick with me. To make matters worse they refuse to communicate with me by email or text as well? I have all my papers. I'm just concerned that they're trying to steal my vehicle of course it's a hybrid what exactly should I do to make 100% certain that doesn't happen

getting an extremely worried because of the way things have went so far. What's to stop them from pretending like they couldn't reach me or they did speak with me and I was no longer interested (falsely of course)

Thanks in advance hopefully I posted this in the right spot I can elaborate further if needed..

I'd reach out. Play dumb about where your truck is and just ask them for an update.

That'll get a conversation started without putting them on the defensive.

Do you have your transition private offer certificate? You should be entitled to one — a $2,750 credit for the hybrid — as long as your dealer processed your original MY22 order with Ford’s COVP process. (Customer Order Verification Program).

BUT the fact that your two orders may have different phone numbers on them MAY mean your private offer isn’t showing up.

So you definitely need to sit down with the sales manager to check this out. If the private offer isn’t showing up, ask the dealer to get in touch with their Ford inventory specialist ASAP to get it sorted out. The dealer may have to file for an exception in order to get you the private offer credit.

(But don’t worry — it CAN be done. We had to have our dealer do this to get our private offer.)

But I think you are on the right track by stopping by in person. A lot easier to get things done this way.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply so far. I do have my offer from Ford. I'm wondering if I call Ford customer service If they could call the dealership on three-way so at least Ford is 100% aware in some way like I said my history with this dealership has been strange to say the least My salesman claims he is the internet sales manager yet he doesn't communicate through texting or emails I feel like this is an intentional also the fact that my phone number doesn't come up when I walk in and have someone try to look up my account I'm just concerned they're going to try and pretend like I don't exist and simply sell the vehicle to someone else what's stopping this from happening I'm trying to figure out what I can do to prevent this at all cost My thoughts are to call the Ford customer care and have them communicate with me through three-way with the dealership to give confirmation that Ford and the dealership and myself are all on the same page I don't know if I'm going above and beyond or if I'm being just paranoid but like I said my overall experience with this dealership has been very shady in my eyes Thanks in advance for everybody's help please let me know if you think I should move forward with calling forward customer care today.

Well, if you have your private offer certificate, that is one hurdle you don’t have to jump. Hopefully.

I’d stop in, sit down with the sales manager — not the internet sales rep — and let him know that you’re aware your Maverick has shipped, and thought you’d stop in and go over a few things before the truck arrives. If you need to make an appointment with the sales manager and come back later, then do that. But try just stopping in, even if you have to wait a bit to see him.

Goal is to spend some quality time with the guy to establish a relationship — which you say seems to be missing. Tell him there hasn’t been a lot of communication during your long wait for the truck, and now that it’s finally on the way, you just want everything to go smoothly,

Ask lots of questions — even if you already know the answers.

Such as — Ask them to check and confirm that your private offer is showing up in their system. Ask to confirm what final price will be when you pick up the truck. Ask if they are able to track where your truck is, and do they have an estimate of when it will arrive .

I doubt very much that Ford customer service will get involved in a three-way conversation with you and your dealer. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t think they see that as their role, as an intermediary.
