These things are delicious engine bay candy, and I'm really tempted to get one for my truck (when available) but has anyone done a back-to-back dyno to see if it actually makes a difference over the stock piece?

Also, the radiator fan is near pulling cooler air through….
I've seen that factoid posted several times..
Ambient air is nearly always cooler that the air under the hood with a warmed up engine.
The air that the fan and the vehicle motion puts through the radiator is heated considerably as that's what the radiator does - It lets the engine shed heat. That air is hotter, not cooler.

The cooler air is outside in front of the truck, not under the hood, and not on the downstream side of the radiator. An intake at the front is preferable if the goal is to let the intake have cooer air.

Silly you,
You're letting logic interfere with looks.

Does anyone know what this silver tube with a plastic cap with T15 fitting on top is?
Circled in green under the prop rod…2nd pic.

Reason I ask is this OP aftermarket air intake is directly above it…1st pic

That appears to be the low side refrigerant line/fitting.....

Thank you JK & BOV for your thoughts!

I’ve noticed the passenger side of the engine bay is noticeably cooler than the driver side on my 25 EB after a drive.

Curious how that refrigerant line, directly under an oiled K&N filter, would affect the fabric & airflow. Add condensation or add heat etc…

Going to have to carefully check after a ride with the AC blowing. Although “my friend” would not install it until the weather cools & AC is unnecessary.

The 25+ EB has both a MAF and a MAP btw. The MAF is located right there on the air intake - but the MAP makes the final decision on fuel input. Doesn’t really matter with this OP air intake though. Cherokee will agree with me there I hope 🤞
