I'm curious what % tint are you folks doing on the front two side windows? It's clear (no pun intended) that the back two side windows are darker than the front two sides so I'm wonder what % tint did you have done to darken up the front two side windows? I think the rear (back) window is tinted fairly dark too so not sure I would want to tint the that one or the windshield. Any pics would be helpful too. I would think that tinting both the front side windows with a high quality ceramic tint would help keep the heat out. Thoughts?

I went with Ceramic tint all around.
The shop used Llumar brand and it has been great.

35% tint for rear window and all 4 windows....then 70% tint for front windshield.

Love it!

I should have gotten ceramic years ago.
Wonderful heat rejection. Roll the window down on a hot day and immediately feel the difference.

The front reduces glare also and still looks clear, no issue at night.
Only downfall of front tint is when windshield is replaced from rock chips, have to pay and get it installed again.
Last windshield replaced was an additional $330 just for the front windshield tint, not happy with that.
But, the tint performance is great.

Think I paid around $850 for install back in 2022.
Same place that did my Line-X spray bed liner.
Will do this to all my vehicles moving forward.

I got a ceramic tint that matches the rear window's factory percentage. I had it done well over a year ago and it's held up flawlessly. No bubbling, no cracking and no discoloring. It's from a company called Solar Solutions which some of my local dealers use for their vehicles.

I did 25% ceramic with UV plus 99% infrared (what does the heat) on front doors and 20% ceramic with UV plus 99% infrared on all the rear glass. From inside looking out the 25% and 20% are really close to same. I did not tint windshield but if I was doing it again I would have with the 5% with UV plus 99% infrared for the additional heat rejection would have been $99 more.

That factory tint is 50 state legal. In most states it is illegal to tint the side windows because it prevent LEO from seeing into the vehicle. I witnessed a cop bust a driver's window out because it was too dark. He had a window tool on a long stick. He broke the window and with gun drawn ordered the driver out of the car.
" In Virginia, the maximum tint allowed on front side windows of passenger vehicles is 50% VLT (Visible Light Transmission). This means the tint must allow more than 50% of light to pass through. For rear side windows and the rear windshield, the limit is 35% VLT "
50% sound nice, in Cali we're only legally allowed 70% or more but the rears have no limit.

I will get some ceramic tint in the next couple of weeks for both of my front windows. Would like to have it matched with the rear windows or maybe a little bit lighter. What percentage are the factory rear window? Thank you.

It's been over 3 years so I do not remember but the tint contractor for my dealership (I partially paid with points) knew and matched. He did front and back. I had ceramic with UV plus 99% infrared to cut down on heat on all but windshield. I was thinking 35% front doors and 20% rear doors and back glass. Would have to pull paperwork and verify. If done again would do 5% with UV and 99% infrared also on windshield (I think the 5% is mainly a CYA and not actually that much).

Check with your Tint installer what the state limit is on front door tinting. Not all states are the same. The fronts are less tinted then the rear doors. You must be able to make eye contact with drivers who may be turning, or giving you the nod to go first, in most states.
