Great info. How did you mount the winch? I have been imagining a Harbor Freight winch with some soft ties.
Prefer a solid mounting point for the winch and chock. Installed a permanent aluminum angle, winch/chock/ramp storage mount adaptor at the cab end of the bed. Used the existing tie down locations, with longer SS bolts to secure it and the original tie downs. Winch and chock mount to the ‘ears’ welded to the angle, and the winch mounts to a base that has ‘ears’ that drop down over the ‘ears on the angle, then it is secured with a half inch SS rod through the sets of ‘ears’. Chock is secured in a similar fashion. Only takes a couple of minutes to mount or unmount both. Run the winch with a wheelchair battery, and keep it on a charger when not in use. Never had the battery run out of juice between charges, even when loading/unloading several times. The attached photos should help in understanding the description. These were taken several months back during the transition from Ridgeline to the Maverick.

One other word of wisdom, the additional load transfer to the extreme rear of the truck will cause more sag in the rear suspension. Would suggest some type of load leveling assistance. Only thing I've found so far, is an Air Lift 1000 Air Spring Kit, Ford, Maverick, Part Number: AIR-60859. Still trying to get the airbags squeezed inside the coil spring.

Another issue to be dealt with, 1.25", this would only put more load strain on the tailgate.

By the way, if anyone is interested, I have the load transfer plate, hitch mount and ramps for the Ridgeline (2017-2021) for sale. Ramps are extended & reinforced, 8’-8”L x 11”W ramps, fold to 60”L.

Outstanding. You really put some thought and work into this. Largely what I concluded the configuration would look like. I am trouble by the tailgate sag and will think about some load shifting . One possibility is to put my scooter on the center stand -- that would move the load forward -- with a piece of 1/2 plywood under the center stand legs. Will report back when I get this done. Meanwhile, thanks for you contribution.

2020 Honda CB650r, hauled up to Cleveland to ride with my dad. Averaged 30.5 mpg, if I remember it was 472 miles to a tank.

Unfortunately most mc don't have center stands anymore unless added aftermarket . I added one to my honda ctx for ease of maintenance for oil changes , chain lube and rear wheel removal if needed . also makes it easier to service front wheel by adding weight ( about 20 lbs )to back rack to keep bike tilted onto rear wheel .

fordluvr44 the ‘load spreader plate’ takes the bike load off of the tailgate and transfers it to the truck bed and trailer hitch. You probably won’t have a problem when the truck is not moving, but the rough condition of roads today concerned me with the jouncing load the tailgate would be subjected to while underway. Had the same worries with the Ridgeline, so developed this concept to transfer the load. This is especially true with both of these vehicles as, due to the short beds, the rear tire sits on the tailgate when loaded.

You might want to check page #5 for my post of 02/25/2022, on this thread, for more photos of the development of my loading hardware for the Maverick. There are photos of the completed package for my 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the progress, at that point, of the Maverick hardware.

Attached is a .pdf document with some additional photos taken during the development process. One of the issues using this method is that it allows you to deal with the ‘drooping tailgate problem with the spreader plate hight, and not the tailgate mounting hardware.

Have completed the Maverick package and can load the bike on the truck with the Ford HARD ROLL UP TONNEAU BED COVER in place. This makes it nice as all of the loading hardware and ramps can be stored in the bed when the bike is unloaded, and the cover and tailgate closed. This was important to me as the Maverick does not have as much secure storage space available on the Ridgeline.
Holy shit this is the coolest truck mod I've ever seen.

I would, and I'm sure many others would, pay a solid chunk of change for this kind of setup.

That's incredible - I see what you've done now. Absolutely amazing.

Fofana Truck Bed Tent off of amazon, Midsized. It says it's for rangers/tacomas in the description but it fit the Maverick fine.

We put a Double inflatable mattress underneath and fit great. I'm about 5'11 and ~190lbs and my wife and I slept side by side with plenty of room. I probably had 4-5 inches of headroom while laying down. My wife could also fully stand up to change which she really liked. The tent was really really easy up and down and pretty easy to pack back up, and all the windows were great 👍
