Left Windshield wiper limited cleaning range

I recently had my windshield replaced, and during a snowstorm, I noticed that the area near the left A-pillar isn't being properly cleaned. There's a thick strip that the wiper misses, which obstructs visibility. This may have been an issue (by design?) since I first bought the truck, but it's not ideal.

Looks like they either didn't put the wiper back correctly when the windshield was replaced or that heavy wet stuff on it is preventing it from travelling further. I'd bet on the first one.

Yeah, I'd bet the wiper is installed a little off, might only be by one spline on the shaft.

I have had windshields replaced before and had problems with both ,wiper arms not placed back right, and the windshield curvature not correct and the wipers would "skip,miss" portions of the glass. This happened more often when they were replaced with aftermarket glass.

The snow was very soft, it did not prevent the movement of the wiper arm.
So they may have a install the windshield wiper incorrectly
If any owner can post the leftmost position of their wiper I would appreciate.

Here you go! Looks like you may be off a spline or two. Maybe try removing driver side wiper, then position passenger side up manually. Reconnect driver side in proper position on spline. Might work.

Looks like mine is way off too, like OP! I have that same big triangle of missed space and had been wondering for months if thats how it was supposed to be. Local dealer is awful anyway. but also, nice Dash mat! Where did you get it?

They treated me good and the price was fair. I think mine is called the poly carpet. It fits very well. They are a bit "stiff" and you have to smooth them out and stretch on them a bit when installing, but they end up with a nice fit! Mat has all the cutouts for vents and defrost. Comes with the peel off Velcro pieces for the dash, easy to install just push them down. Also are easy to take back off, just peel them up, doesn't harm dash. We have had a dash mat on about every car we have had. The old days the sun would crack and peel the dash. Today, much better quality and none of those issues, but the dash does still get very hot in summer. These mats really make the inside much cooler when it's hot out.

There are small circular marks on the Ford windshield (hopefully your replacement windshield also has them) to align the parked blades with. Here's a picture I found showing them circled in red.

You can't see that I sprayed the windshield to show the pattern.

If you're looking for a dash mat I bought this one last spring. I don't know what other colors they come in besides black.
The website may say doesn't fit Maverick but it does, quite nicely.

When replacing the batteron my wife's 2015 Escape, it was much easier to pull the wiper arms, the plastic cover and then the battery rather thantrying to snake the battery out forward. After fighting the arm placement, I marked the location with a paint marker. That really helped. It's a lot easier to get it wrong that right.
