Completed the wiper motor recall. Dropped truck yesterday at 8:30 am, service advisor called 6:30 pm, same day saying truck ready.
He telling me of other recall, the back up screen freeze, Ford working for a fix, for that. I said “yea, I’m aware”. And Ford laid off 400 software folks. He laugh, saying “just in time, ain’t it”. Others nearby laugh too.
Never one to trust others, Told him I will pop hood, inspect the work make sure all bolts, screws, clips installed, and test wipers, making sure their “sweep” satisfactory. He smiled at me. Could only wonder what’s going on in his mind. It all looks good.
So now on standby for next recall. This one, the camera freeze biz, might be a mobile service in driveway software dump?
