Leaking gas tank - Lariat Hybrid built Sep 2022

Took delivery of my truck late September. Walked into my garage yesterday morning to a strong smell of gasoline. Got under the vehicle to inspect, found leak traces coming from the hose that goes into the tank.

I filled up 3 days ago. Range at fill up was 546. No significant change. I cleaned up the traces to see if it happens again. I’m hoping it was an overfill. If it happens again I’ll be taking it in.

That looks like a leak, not over fill spillage. Besides, spillage smell would have dissipated in 3 days.

I've noted a gasoline smell as well with mine if it sits in the garage for an extended period of time. One day it was a very strong smell. I haven't crawled underneath to take a look at anything yet.

Well mine got checked out this morning. Needs a new fuel tank. Some sort of vapor valve, line or something is leaking.

Just got mine back from dealer. Dealer states that they found a crack through the filler neck tube and at the seam where filler neck connects to fuel tank. Also mentioned something about a stuck vapor valve.

You both smell gasoline. I smell another possible recall. I hope you've both reported leaking gasoline to the NHTSA through their reporting site.

I get a super light whiff of gasoline starting up on cold mornings. Really surprised but not particularly worried. That used to be routine in older cars as they pumped in a rich mixture.

Hey, have you found a solution? This has just started happening with our XLT hybrid as well. We gassed up last week and then had a short highway drive on Friday. When we opened the garage door this morning, it smelled like gas. Have you driven your truck since or did you have it towed in? I was nervous enough that we used our second car which had been parked outside. Didn't want to start Christmas with a bang, ya know.
Hubby is now out looking under the truck to see if there's evidence of a leak from the hose as well.

Update: hubby didn't find any sign of leaking or any puddle on the floor of the garage. He wonders if the little flap got frozen open when he gassed up so it is sort of off-gassing?

I forgot to update on here sooner. We took our truck in and they found one of the hose clamps was slightly loose. We didn't see any drips because there was some plate or whatnot that had caught the leakage. They cleaned up the leaked fuel and fixed the clamp. Everything is a-ok now.

My 22 XLT hybrid must have a problem too, the few times it gets parked overnight in the garage (my Mach e normally stays indoors), the garage smells to high heaven of gasoline. Trip to the dealership coming up in the new year
