Thats my thoughts on it, Im slammed at work but will be making some calls before I take it to ford for a used car inspection.I would not want a tune on a used vehicle that I didn't have 1000% confidence exactly what/whose it is and/or I didn't purchase/install...
.
HAHAHAHA guys it worksWhat is displayed when going into the LC menu? Is the launch RPM tunable?
If it actually works (which I Question) you do realize it’s mandatory that you try it, right?
In and of itself, it would not deter me from buying that vehicle, I think I’ve use LC a total of 4-5 times on my vehicles Just because it exists. My guess is that the previous owner was Forscan fluent. Are there any other mods to the drivetrain? Tune?
Good luck
.
Only went up to 2k rpm but it looks like it will hold it at 3-4kHAHAHAHA guys it works
Ok im in love, if I take this into ford are they gonna software update and return it to stock? Or can i get forscan and save the current config?
I’ve read where some of the software updates ford does removes some forscan changes and returns things to stock configuration, so my GUESS is not let them do any. Hopefully others can chime in that are more knowledgeable. The my24 does not do OTA software updates except for audio so only the dealers techs would be able to do that. That aside the EB is very peppy for the engine size, especially in Sport ModeOnly went up to 2k rpm but it looks like it will hold it at 3-4k
HOW DO I GET FORD NOT TO REMOVE THIS
HAHAHAHA I promise im NOT a ford employeeOk, I’m sorry - but first post of a brand new member gushing over a product?
Marketing is important - but sneaky marketing is borderline cheating.
Yeah honestly not gonna use LC that much but id like to keep all the ford performance menus and logos.I’ve read where some of the software updates ford does removes some forscan changes and returns things to stock configuration, so my GUESS is not let them do any. Just bought yesterday from a dealer called ClearShift. Came with all this, didnt find the stuff on the cluster till after the purchase but should have been suspicious when there was a ford st start up screen. Blinded by excitement IGBut I’ve got a 24 XLT ECO also, and I can’t find any of that stuff on my centre screen?![]()

Hahahaha I have never tuned a car in my life if I had a code yall would be the first to get it!I did not say you were a Ford employee hahaha. I’m just saying you are affiliated with the Tuner.
How did you identify the generic plastic ball mount to them only hours after your first post? Geez, even their purchasing guy would not recognize that without being told
Look, all I’m saying is offer forum members a discount code
Didnt read the rest of the thread, but previous owner definitely had a Livernois tune. Did you buy it from a Ford dealer? I would want a re-do, just because of the unknown P/O use and a flash counter most likely set off. Smells like headaches and warranty issues. So I just took ownership of a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT and while browsing through settings under driver assistance I found a launch control setting. (See video) Now, Im a self proclaimed car guy but I bought this as a daily and if someone has been launching it for 21k miles I wanna know. Can anyone provide insight on this or recommend how to handle the dealer if this car was modified (They did not disclose this and did claim the factory warranty was intact)
