Nothing y’all are describing is “weird” or “bad” or “gonna mess something up”…internal canbus leds usually have a time limit to where after that, they hyperflash. Just turn it off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Voila.

ultimately a big safety issue.. say you are broken down on an interstate in bad weather... lasfit asks you to turn your hazards off for 2 mins to let them "cool"... you better have some flares on hand

I pulled my LASFIT LED front turn signals out this past weekend for the following reasons:
1. They were over the top bright at night lighting up street signs across the intersection, and glaringly bright to oncoming vehicles, as well as being behind someone with the blinker on.
2. Waiting to turn left for an extended period (kid pick up at school) and it would start blinking really fast, the same hyperflash some have mentioned.
3. I'm just not willing to risk issues with that many lumens and first hand problem experience with them.
Sounds like it may be better to just go with separate resistors heat-sink tape screwed to sheet metal (should dissipate well that way), and some LEDs that aren't quite so bright which should then also run cooler.

I finally saw a Maverick in person today, and the stock incandescent do look pretty bad IMO, so I'd definitely go with something else in there even if its not this particular brand.

Awe man, I went with LasFit and changed out all the lights except for the tail/brake lights ( not available), because they were not supposed to hyperflash. Will keep an eye on mine, hope they can be a remady from LasFit for all the Maverick customers.

I've noticed that, turning them off for a couple seconds and back on removes any hyper flashing or weird out of phase/sync issue.

INHO, this is a poor design and Lasfit should replace the LEDs.

You’ll be fine as long as they aren’t on for a prolonged period of time

In a closed environment like a bulb inside the housing, the resistor heat sink will only be so effective before it gets too warm and no longer can dissipate enough heat. In line resistors outside the housing and away from the bulb will do better for continuous use.

An LED bulb with integral heat sink will be good enough for most daily uses and occasional hyperflash with the uncommon long use intervals will be fine for most people.

Makes sense, I bet external resistors are $$$ no wonder auto makers opt for Halogen bulbs.
