My first post here. I've been reading and learning about the Maverick and modifications. Thanks to all here for the info and tips! 275 miles on the Maverick and counting.

I wanted to share something that I just found when installing these LED lamps and using Forscan to designate the turn signals (yellow side of the LED) as DRLs.

Everything went fine with the install and programming. Afterwards though I noticed that with the DRLs lit, when I switch on the turn signals the hyperflash 3 times on the dash before the dash indicator turns to normal timing. I thought the hyperflashing was fixed with the new Lasfit bulbs?

Anyone else have experience with this? Just wondering if there's a work-around in Forscan or if it's someting I just have to live with. I didn't see anytning obvious in the Body Control Module settings to turn off bulb warnings for the turn signals.

I should have searched a little harder. I found an older thread that located the solution in the Body Control Module settings. It's in this thread and the solution was found by

I changed the Front Bulb Turn Outage to "disabled", and all is well. Unless the bulb goes out anyway then I'll have to figure it out the old way. I may try to enable the Front LED Turn Outage to see if the hyperflash returns.

A lot of great info here....just need to find it!

This has been a problem for the past couple years ever since Ford did a recall modification on the brake lights. Until then, the Lasfits worked fine. Lasfit said they came up with a new bulb that would work with the modification, but that never panned out. I don't know of any other vendor that has solved the problem with their LED bulbs unless you install a separate resistor. That being said, glad you found a work around. Frankly, I think the Maverick's OEM bulbs were plenty bright. Unless one routinely drives in inclement weather, I don't see the justification of spending $200 for LED brake/tai light bulbs.

I did not buy or change the rear tail light bulbs. Only the fronts. And Amazon has a deal right now so less than $50 for the front bulbs. Still pricey, but nowhere near $200.

As for brightness, I wanted bright yellow DRLs as yellow is more visible to others during daylight hours than white lights. Learned that from my motorcycle days. I want to do eveything I can to be seen with today's driver's being on phones and general inattentiveness. The yellow turn side of the Lasfit bulbs are much brighter than the stock halogens. Plus I liked the white lights that come on with the headlights instead of the yellow "parking light" side of the stock halogens.

I kept the halogen bulbs and may switch back if I start getting flashed a lot at night. In a way I do wish LED lights never came about as theyf really affect my older eyes when driving at night.

The fronts have no issues that I'm aware of. I also replaced the front turn bulbs with LEDs. Much brighter than than the OEMs. I'm in agreement that you want to be seen as much as possible. I went so far as to modify the side badges to sync with my turn signals. The Maverick did not have any turn signal notification on the sides, whereas most vehicles have them in the side view mirrors or somewhere on the side body.
