I'm not positive, however, I seem to recall reading that adding the Perimeter Plus to the standard alarm might also add an audible chirp when locking/unlocking, in addition to the motion sensor. It mentioned the audible chirp, with the description implying it might also chirp when locking or unlocking, in addition to detecting a minor vibration before alarming.

Anybody add the Perimeter Plus to their Maverick, who might be able to confirm? - That would address the OP's desire of a beep. I know I sort of miss the Chirp/Beep my Subaru made when locking or unlocking. (Double Chirp was unlock, single was lock).
I installed the Perimeter Plus on mine.
It does Not chirp when you lock/unlock using the door handle or keypad.

If you press lock Twice on the fob it honks.

My Ferrari 360 Spyder, Porsche 911, and Lexus LC 500 all chirp when the door is locked and unlocked. You guys must get annoyed a lot…..
So, you can't afford new car? -- Just kidding

Darn, was hoping the Perimeter Plus added the chirp. Besides motion or vibration sensing, what does it do? - The description doesn't provide a lot of details.

From the side, by the door handle, you cannot see the lights flash to confirm that you did lock the doors. I have thought I locked the truck, but it was not locked. Having the horn beep confirms that the door is locked.

Also, this is A 2024 Lariat that has the Perimeter Alarm and the Securilock Anti Theft system. I just tested it and cannot seem to make it go off. There is no alarm setting under the Vehicle option. Did Ford not add this when the truck was built?
Totally understand needing confirmation of the vehicle locking. One thing I did was replace the turn signal lamps with LED (Lasfits with built in resistors) and when they blink to confirm a lock you can see them a block away. Very bright. Again, a personal preference especially if your previously owned vehicles beeped when locked.

There is a setting in the steering wheel menu to disable that. Sorry I don't remember the process but have done it on our work Mavs.
Thank you. Mine was disabled at purchase, but good to know there's an enable/disable process.

Well mine must be quieter than yours and you can’t see the lights from the door handle. I want the horn to honk. Thanks for your input….
When I lock mine with the touch handle, I look at the speedo cluster and watch for the turn signal icons to light up.

this is exactly why I use the lock button on the door when I'm about the leave the truck.

Any expert fobber knows the vehicle is not truly locked until you beep it 10 times.

I liked my sonata, if it unlocked accidentally/intentionally and no one opened a door in 10 minutes it re-locked assuming you hit it by accident. It also would not honk for lock if anything was open: door, hood, trunk

Does anyone know of a way to have the horn beep when the exterior door lock is touched to lock the truck. Like when you use the fob with double tap locking. And is the alarm set when locking with touch?
I’ve always thought the truck is too quiet when I hit the key fob to lock the doors. My old 97 Camaro gave a beep beep so you know it was locked without locking at it. My Cruze has a nice K-Lunk when it locks. The Maverick is just silent. I’m always checking my drivers door to be sure.

I doubt it, but if there is a way outside of hooking a laptop to the vehicle and fumbling around in the computer it would be in the owner's manual, either paper version or online. I would like to point out that I have the same feature on my 22 Mav Lariat, and the very discernable clicking noises from all four doors and the tailgate along with feeling the movement of the lock in the door with my index finger as it touches the ridges on the handle to actuate the lock tells me it has worked. Then I just pull on the rear door handle to confirm it.
