Lariat bed rail track system now available thru parts and accessories

Lariat bed rail/track system is now available thru parts and accessories. I made my own setup with logistics track or L track from uscargocontrolcorp.com. Since I am in the aviation mtx industry, i like the aircraft "seat track" look of my setup, however the OEM rail system is now available as a standalone part. Heres pix of the ford parts one, and mine, along with the dimensions to DIY something like mine.

Your L track looks better than the strut channel I was planning on, and better than OEM too. Nice

I did. I have not gotten my truck yet. The set shown installed is the second set I made for a friend using his truck as a template. The track is undrilled surface mount. I drilled and 90° countersunk to fit. Used stainless steel metric torx screws. The cargo D rings are Ebay specials. I since made .040" stainless steel end caps for the rails. The dimension drawing is mine. L Track circular lug holes are exact 1' spacing which matches the exact inch spacing on the truck bed making it a perfect match. I probably have $100 in one set, hardware and all. I thought of making these to sell, but setting up the drill press and drilling and counter sinking each hole exact centered is a bit labor intensive. Took me 2-3 hours to drill 4 tracks.

I am an aircraft sheetmetal fabricator by trade. The L track I purchased needed approx 5" chopped off to fit. It came in 48" lengths

Probably, but between my work and home life, I have precious few moments of down time to myself. When I do, I prefer to spend those moments doing other things. I am finally getting back to assembling a Chrysler V8 for a project car I'm working on. I just got this engine block and rotating assembly back from the machine shop.

I see it this way, i was the trailblazer and provided the information for others to do this if they wanted to. Maybe somebody else will do this for profit.

For anyone on the fence about getting the Lariat style rail system, I highly recommend having it, or one of the alternative. I like having the flexibility of being able to secure a load at any point along the bed.
