Kids left key on playing radio

So,seems my grandchildren left the key on while listening to the radio in maverick!does it shut off after a certain amount of time to keep battery from running down?

Not sure the answer, but my Lariat hybrid will play the radio without the button pushed (key on). Perhaps your EcoBoost is different.

not sure either with the "key on"/accessory? position. On mine after turning OFF the engine the audio unit will continue playing for around 15 minutes or until the door is opened to exit the truck. Mine has the push button instead of a key, no idea if that makes a difference.

My hybrid also continues playing until door is opened/few minutes. But, if you just get in and push the radio button, the radio will play for an unknown (by me) time. No ignition button push required.

I just discovered this today...25 Hybrid XLT you can just turn on the radio without turning on key.

Yes. It’s either 15 or 30 minutes. I don’t remember which. I do it while on break or lunch at work.
