2025 XLT , Hybrid , fordpass remote start/locator not functioning, but solved

Went to use my fordpass to remote start vehicle this morning, slid the button over, got a spinning wheel, vehilce failed to start. Tried again, failed to start. Looked outside vehicle was not running, so i used the FOB to remote start , started fine. Drove to work, shut off vehicle got out, tried to use fordpass to remote start, it would not. Looked at location, and the last location was my residence. Looked up a few things online, told me to remove vehicle from fordpass and re-add. That did not work.

++++ FIX ++++ disconnected negative battery terminal for 10 minutes , reconnected battery, added vehicle to Ford pass, and everything is functional. Just sharing for those who might have this happen.

Just for giggles.... Truck has 220 miles on it.

An infotainment reset may have accomplished the same thing for you. On 22-23-24 models, this was done by simultaneously pressing the VOL knob & Skip forward buttons until the Infotainment system rebooted. Not sure how it's done on '25 models that have had so many physical buttons deleted from the dash. (?)

New vehicles often have computer & other electronics weirdness and strange warnings show up on-screen during the first few hundred miles.
