The entire 10 mile stretch: no way. The beginning and end sections I definitely had lots of power going to the rear wheels. Not only that but even with the FX4 package I was scraping in some sections. That 2-3 miles in the middle you would probably be okay at least while driving down the trail...
No idea but Iām sure it was horrible. As I said I was hovering around 2500-3000 RPMs the entire time. During about 50% of the trip all four wheels were engaged. I was more interested in watching the AWD screen than my mileage.
No, didnāt air down the tires at all. In hindsight I probably should have, but at the time I didnāt think about it because I donāt have a compressor in my truck to air them back up. I have since purchased one and it should be here tomorrow!
Yeah it was pretty interesting to see the different vehicles as you moved south on the trail. Those second 2-3 miles that were pretty easy had a bunch of vehicles on it that there was no way they had 4x4 or AWD. That SUV that I passed at one point was a Lexus that I'm pretty sure was not AWD. I...
Yeah I was surprised as well. They call those "All Terrain" tires, but they are just barely. Excited to see how it performs with some decent tires on it.
So I did see a video that mentioned that with Mud/Ruts the truck allows less slippage than with Sand mode, but I didn't get a chance to try it. I'd love to go down there with my buddy and his F150 4x4 so I could play a little more and still have someone who could pull me out. š
Took the Mav over to Saint Augustine Beach for a few days and did quite a bit of beach driving. Here is how it fared!
On the first day we drove to the nearest beach access ramp and drove onto the beach. At this ramp the sign said "4x4 Recommended". Drove on, put the Mav into Sand mode and drove...
I don't know that it would stay on it's own (I never tried), but it definitely does fold up to that last little fold in the cover to expose the entire bed.
Selling my Hard Folding Tonneau cover that came on my Maverick. I really liked it, but I put bed mounted racks on my truck so I can't use it anymore. $1,219 new, looking to get $700 for it. Located in Central Florida.
Three weeks and 1,000 miles later and I'm loving the truck!
(I know it's only 999.9 ... was trying to be safe and not take a picture while we were actually moving š)
My passenger side stopped working. I turned off the option in the settings menu and then turned it back on and it started working again. Haven't had an issue since.
My Expedition has auto-dimming side and rearview mirrors. I really miss that on the Maverick.
Also seat memory would be great since multiple people drive the truck.
