I orderd and configured a third keyfob for my Lariat. It was an easy process to configure and it was only about $35.

The mechanical key was blank so I was going to have it cut locally but realized it would require a locksmith and probably cost an arm and a leg. I tried to use a key machine at Lowes but it would not take that key type.
I saw this Ebay link and decided to try it out. I ordered two blank keys and sent the picture of my current cut key to them. Cheaper to just buy the keyblanks from them instead of mailing my blank one to them.

Two weeks later they showed up and I tried them. Both WORKED without any issues and the total cost was $21 including the new key blanks which were identical to the factory ones on the keyfob. I placed one of the keyfobs into a magnetic keybox and placed it on the metal shelf in the rear near the tailpipe - perfect location. After reading about the person with a Lariat that ended up gettting locked out their truck I figured it was worth $10 just in case it ever happened to me.
I usually try to make 4 keys for each of my vehicles since i end up keeping them for a long time. I'll have to see if the Maverick supports 4 configured keyfobs...probably does since my Mustang does.
