Because it makes no sense. This isn't a Ferrari and it isn't a vehicle that will sit on the lot for more than a few days.I’m not sure What is wrong with people on this forum, and deposits. You were buying a tens of thousands of dollar truck, what is wrong with giving $500-$1000 to show intent to purchase when it arrives. If you walk away, because you don’t have any skin in the game, you were taking an allocation and a build away from a customer who does want that vehicle.
They are now stuck with your specifications I cannot order their specifications
That quick turnover is precisely because 90+% of Mavericks sold are customer orders. Kind of a self-fulfilling comment?Because it makes no sense. This isn't a Ferrari and it isn't a vehicle that will sit on the lot for more than a few days.

Hmm, I called another dealership earlier and they didn't require a deposit, think I should order from both?It must depend on the dealership. I ordered 2 trucks one hour away from each other last September, no deposit required. One was delivered in March, the other one absolutely no time frame given yet.
No deposit required for the reservation/purchase (April 7th, 2022) of my Maverick.
I'd tell Planet Ford to lick Uranus.
