Yes!! Just go to Overstock.com and enter your Maverick order there.

I have seen better grammar from Nigerian Finance Ministers asking for my account information.

Keep your money in your account and order on-line.

When I ordered last July I had an option to put $100 down or put $1,000 refundable - price guarantee option. I chose the $1,000 as I was told that showed a commitment to purchase that the $100 did not. I signed a document with that payment that was a price guarantee document and also that my deposit was refundable if I decided not to purchase the vehicle.

Deposits are not required. They only make sense in a market flooded with vehicles when a dealer doesn't want to be stuck with dead inventory if the buyer backs out. In that case, they may require a "non-refundable" deposit. Heck, in today's market I'm surprised dealers aren't paying us for orders.
I agree with this 100%.

My dealer wanted $1000 - we agreed on $500 since they couldn’t actually tell me when I might get my order- back in October estimates were 6-8 weeks

No deposit required for Byers Ford in Delaware, Ohio. Process was fairly easy from ordering(June 2021) to delivery(Dec 2021). I also ordered my tonneau cover through them in order to use the points and they gave me the 20% online discount. Fantastic to work with all around, and I would highly recommend!

Because it makes no sense. This isn't a Ferrari and it isn't a vehicle that will sit on the lot for more than a few days.
My dealer needed $5000.00 down...which I did.

Granger has typically required a $1K non-refundable deposit - that is what I had to do last year to get their 3% below invoice deal. I believe they do this to be able to evidence to Ford that their buyers are valid and accountable in the ordering process. Primarily I suspect so that if buyers do back out they can argue against it counting against their customer ordered vs retail inventory (If I recall correctly, Ford has an 80% delivery to the customer requirement for customer orders - falling below this can impact future allocations).

With that said, I would not do a large deposit without a signed agreement to final pricing - I wouldn't even do that if the agreement were just for MSRP, however that may be your only option.

At a minimum I would require a signed purchase agreement at MSRP, no dealer-installed junk add-ons, and no egregious document fees. Otherwise find a dealer with smaller or no deposit requirements - there are plenty of decent dealers (including ones with great prices that could be worth a flight and day/weekend trip) - while this could be one of them I would tread lightly!

My dealer required no deposit and no charge to walk away from the deal. Upfront charges and totals. Signed and delivered the next day after ordering online from Ford.

Note: I have purchased 4 vehicles from them and have an established credit rating of 835+

In Canada, Southern Ontario specifically, I had to put $1000 down per my dealer but it was 100% refundable as "they would have NO ISSUE" selling it if I backed out (their words, it was/is still being built in Mexico). I was sure to get that in writing (refundable ‼). I had also a signed bill of sale. I had already settled on base price and they were willing to deal with extended warranties, coverages etc later. I modified the coverages twice (ended up going with just the standard warranty 🤞)

My dealer asked for $500 refundable deposit. Felt that was reasonable. That was in January, still waiting. 😫
