Also wondering which he is referring to as neither one should really be a surprising hidden spot. The underseat one is in the marketing.

I mostly use the under-seat storage for the hitch and other truck accessories. I also keep a Ryobi charger and a hammock underneath the seat.

Today, I was packing the rear seat area for only our second road trip in the Mav after almost having it 16 months. I discovered bonus hidden storage areas (both sides) extending out toward the doors under the plastic moulding providing a surprising amount of hidden storage. Not real good for large hard objects, but great for smaller flexible things. Can free up space in rest of area depending on what you have there.
Very helpful. THANKS!
Mike

My jump pack fits into that space, I use the battery side of underseat area, for obvious reasons.
Less can fit in the visible area needing to be moved to get the jump pack out, and there's the battery!

But now I need to find a green long dog for the other side!

Sorry, I been somewhat absent and not had time for pictures. Thanks for the pictures @Glen Baker LLC. Looks like y'all figured out the area I meant. Yes, you lift the seat and then reach under the ends by the doors and the space goes under the area seen from above in Glen's first picture (post #2). Was really surprised to find it and surprised I"ve not seen it mentioned by anyone who removed mouldings to replace their hybrid's 12v battery (edit: or totally remove the back seat). Maybe they really wanted to keep it to themselves!

I'm glad I could help. Thank you for the acknowledgment.
I kind of figured that was the area you were talking about when you said hidden. But pictures always help. Seeing as how I use my phone for pictures and posting and don't have to download to a PC I can post them pretty quickly. Take Care.

@Waterick, THANKS for the tip. I have several different lengths of rope that I use for tying down cargo, they all fit perfectly in the two "hidden" areas, freeing up quite a bit of room in the main compartments.

Glad to help, I immediately stored my cargo net on the driver's side. May move my compact jump pack to the right.

Hey Glen Baker,
Now I’m just curious, after you posted those pictures.
Do you keep that heat lamp under the seats to hatch out chickens in your truck?
And if so; are they considered Hybrid chickens?
