I could be wrong but I believe what you have there is a special funnel that allows you to put gas in the tank from a gas can.

If you have a 22' Hybrid. that is the free Fits Kit. They gave one to all the Hybrid orders because they were delayed like 6 months because the EPA did not believe the MPG rating Ford provided and requested to do their own test to make sure the rating was correct.

Well, I have a '22 Hybrid Lariat and never received a FITS kit - but why would I? I ONLY waited 395 days after I ordered for the truck to be delivered!! Even called Ford 800 - they didn't care.

I use the trash can because it was loose in the seat storage and it gave me somewhere to put a box of tissues.
there is another connector in the cup holder, not really sure of its purpose, looks like an adapter of some sort.

The trash can in my Fits Kit is used for 4 bottles of water and two microfiber cloths. One for glasses, one for messes.

Ditto on the trash can, cut the Smart Liner rear mat to lock it in place, since the mat was three inches too high for the hump. Rear bench is in the attic in wrapped plastic as with the last 10 vehicles, I don't need no stinking rear seat but love the storage.

That's for the capless gas filler neck. If your one of those that doesn't keep gas in your tank and run out.

My understanding is the epa did due to how they classify them with mpg penalties. That’s why it’s hard to get a new shortbed single cab these days. That’s what I’ve read anyway.

OP only said "single cab". Door count isn't a factor in the CAFE target calculation.

Delayed MY 22' retail orders received a complementary FITs kit.

Has anyone explored the hiding area under the the snap door when you take out the orange tray forward of the gear selector? The sock covered and insulated wiring to the 12v (at the center rear console) is the only thing there with plenty of extra room to conceal things.

you must be talking about FITS , I didn’t get any of them not even a funnel. Or a pigtail.

Long McArthur did me right from start to finish. The pigtail and easy fuel funnel were in the glove box. My salesperson put the FITS kit under the rear seat. The vehicle was detailed, plastic wrap on the seats removed, glass marking, window sticker adhesive removed. Adding DIO's helped my delivery taking experience. Lonnie, Niles, Sarah and especially Tim were true class from the order to pick up date.

I don't know if this is relevant to this thread, but I'll try anyway...
If the "pigtail" slot is so revolutionary, why is there only one in the whole truck ?
Shouldn't there be one (at least) up front?
Maybe a couple more in the back (underneath the windows)?
Just a thought....
