I think there might be some confusion.
I believe the OP meant the semi concealed area under the rear seat.
The way the plastic rear seat tray is formed there are small areas that are somewhat hidden. Pictures below

do not miss that subaru at all btw. the secret storage it offered was air pockets in the coolant jackets when you blew a head gasket.

Hmmm. I am familiar with the area that you speak of.
Hypothetically, is the area large enough to store something of the 9mm variety held in place with a magnetic mount? possibly covered with a grease rag?

I know it’s not large enough for storage of a full size Trunk Monkey.
