I think there might be some confusion.
I believe the OP meant the semi concealed area under the rear seat.
The way the plastic rear seat tray is formed there are small areas that are somewhat hidden. Pictures below👇👇👇👇

lol I was on impreza-rs.com in 1999-2000 when Sean coined that term.

do not miss that subaru at all btw. the secret storage it offered was air pockets in the coolant jackets when you blew a head gasket. :ROFLMAO:

I'm still not sure what area is being referred to. all of the cubbies are easy to find as far as I can tell.
