Hi, I am hoping to get some recommendations for a jump pack. Rather hear from other forum members than rely on amazon reviews. Thanks

I decided to go with this one. Doesn't require keeping it charged up, which I seem to always forget to do. In fairness, I haven't had to use it yet, but the research I did seems to support that it's pretty good.

I have a ThinkCar CJS101 I bought off one of the tool trucks that comes to my work. Paid $120 for it, pretty sure the price is about the same on ThinkCar's website. 1,000 amp jump pack and is also an OBDII scanner. I let a colleague borrow it to start their 5.0 F-150 that's been sitting for months with a junk battery and it started it no problem. Don't know if it's available on Amazon though.

Supercapacitor good choice
No need to precharge or keep charged.
I'm sure if you read the instructions realize that it takes time to charge up from a low battery.

Schumacher bad choice
This is my second one that split.

Noco GB70 gets my vote. I have one in each one of our cars.

So a super capacitor charges off a low battery? Sounds odd to me that it would work with a really low dead battery.

Here is an 11 min. Video that explains the difference between a SuperCapacitor Jump Starter and a Regular Lithium Ion battery based jump starter.

I got the Noco 50 from Ford Accessories with my points from my Maverick purchase. Picked it up at my local dealer down the road. Hopefully never need it, but it's under my rear seat should the time come.

I have the same one but got it off Amazon. I use it weekly as my truck lives in a constant state of dead battery.

That's not good, sound like you have either a dieing battery or a electrical gremlin draining your battery.

CTEK for my motorcycle (US 800), my wife’s motorcycle (US 0.8), & my Maverick (MXS 5.0). Been using ‘em for years. Significantly extends the life of the batteries.

Just picked it up from the dealer after a lengthy diagnostic. The BCM is draining the battery, dealer confirmed but Ford will not replace it at this time. About every other 2 hours it activates the lights and radio and then will turn off. Im putting it back to stock and ditching it within the next 2 weeks. I will be moving on.

Battery based jump boxes can be used for much more than jump starting, but super capacitors are great if that's all you need.
