I couldn't get chat to work, so I called the Ford marketing number, 800-334-4375. 'Got connected after a relatively short wait, and got great help. I had good service last time from the customer service number, but had to wait over half an hour. And I never got the email confirmation they had promised.

I used the chat line as well. They said order was in process. Found out thru Tim's videos on Youtube Long McArthur Ford that even if the order has been placed and is in process Ford will not look at order for scheduling unless dealer has put order in thru ROVP (retail order verification process). So I will call Marketing on Monday to make sure this was done. I keep getting the same thing from dealer, yada yada, order was put in but never heard anything from Ford. So I guess sometimes the customer must do some leg work when ordering.

This ordering a vehicle process is all new to me and I am learning as I go.
Like you I’m really surprised how uninformed all of our dealerships seem to be. I know this is a new way to purchase vehicles but they better get onboard soon because this is the model on how we’ll all be buying cars and trucks going forward. And dealers that don’t embrace it or jack up added dealer mark ups will be out of business before long.

Having a vin number is a sure way to quell any anxiety regardless of any emails.
I have the confirmation email from Ford, I have talk to the rep and Ford but to vin number yet.
Its like being in a waiting room to hear that the wife is going to have the baby but the water hasn't broken yet.
Perhaps more like, all the spots are filled and you and your wife are both in the waiting room waiting to get admitted. But, they've never called your name or confirmed that they know you're waiting. Your friend is a nurse at the hospital, and has assured you you're in the system, but he's kind of sleazy, takes forever to respond, and is known to be very lazy/incompetent so you're not sure if he's done what you told him to. Now, every hour or so you need to go up to the reception and ask if you're in "the system" yet.

Eventually, they call out your name, give you an estimated time that you'll be able to make it in, and life is ok.

I was in the same exact situation and limbo like you, not sure if my order was actually placed as I only did it over the phone. I did not wait as long as you however and was on the phone with ford 2 days after placing my order with the dealer. They said it showed as "Order Processing." They couldn't tell me if that was different than "Order Confirmed" but I left it at that for now. After another two-three days and I still did not get an email, I called again. They recommended I contact the marketing department as their system is different and can see even more info. They were incredibly helpful. A few hours after getting off the phone with them, my actual confirmation email came through. Now one less thing to be anxious about knowing I am actually "in line" so to speak.

If anyone else needs it, here is the marketing phone number: 1-800-334-4375
They need to change the hold music......

Just found out that my Priority Code went from 10 to 2, and I "should" get an email next Thursday's daying that my truck has gone into production and my VIN. That was a pleasant surprise since I have the Spray bed liner as an option. So maybe Ford was able to get more product to do the bed liners.

Just got off the phone with Ford marketing. bgillen35 Thanks again for the #. Turn out dealer never gave them my email or gave them wrong email. And good news was they had a Vin # for me. No build date but at least they have all my contact info so she said I will now get any updates. So I would definitely say if you haven't heard anything at all it does help to call.

I see you joined pretty recently like myself. When did you place your order and was it a hybrid or ecoboost?

Thanks for the info,
I called Ford and spoke to a very nice customer service woman who verified that I too am in the system and she assured me that the vehicles will be built and available in the Fall timeline.
I also asked about the different build orders that I recieved when I changed my build packages. No worries there, they have the updates and it still shows date of original order in their system. Ok, sigh of releif now time to sit back with a Sam Adams and chill till my number comes up. Keep the faith people, but make sure you tak

Thanks OP. I just use the online Chat. After I give the representative the order code and sales code. I got a reply from him.
"Thank you for your patience. I show the vehicle is In Order Processing - The order has been entered into the Ford Ordering System. It will then be scheduled and placed in the first available production week. "
At least .

Has anyone ordered as far back as June 2021? Any word on even a ‘possible’ delivery date?

I ordered on June 21, 2021 (Red Lariat EcoBoost) and my salesman just now (November 1st) gave me an order number but didn’t provide a VIN.

He said my build is not scheduled until the end of November. Chat did not work for me.

Does this sound legit?

Tks!!

I am waiting for my turn with Chat right now. I check with them every couple of weeks.
Plus, I have a file with a printed copy of my 12/03/2021 signed dealer contract, a printed copy of the screen shot of the final cost of my XLT the dealership sent me, and a printed copy of the 12/03/2021 email from Ford saying "Your Order Has Been Confirmed."
Not taking ANY chances!

Why chat with Ford now? They haven't been scheduling in weeks.
